Easier way that takes a little longer but isn't as boring - do the Eldergleam quest for the temple of Kynareth in Whiterun, and Danica Pure Spring will let you train in Restoration up to 100. To make the money, restore the Thieves Guild by doing side jobs and eventually you'll have some side income and great fences with lots of gold to buy, who will also buy any type of item. You can make potions or smith and enchant stuff with Banish and go from city to city selling things to pay for training.

I Couldn't do this, tried it for a couple levels on my new account to get a bonus ahead in Levels but this makes the finger hurt pretty bad on the console after a few minutes.

dont hold down the trigger when you do spells...it drains magika 8 times faster...just hold until it charges then release...one charge release does the same amount of damage or restoration as holding down the trigger for 5 sec

I also found a way to level up restoration but it takes just as long to level up. find a door trap that shoots arrows/darts when stepped on, spam the trap by walking forward and backward always staying in rangs of the arrows and just hold the healing spell while doing so. like i said though, it takes what feels like an eternity but it's worth it when your deep inside a dungeon with no food or potions. theres a door trap in the lost volkygg just east of the labrythian entrance.

Equilibrium isn't the best because on mine it takes away 25 points per second but my healing does 15 points per second so I need to use a potion every 6 minutes. At level 70 restoration it takes like 10-15 minutes per level?

Equilibrium matched with Heal is a lot easier. You just have to hold them (or find a way to make the buttons stay down without you :D)

It might take longer, but it IS less work.. :/

You can also just jump into a forge and heal yourself. I also found that since you are setting yourself on fire, your destruction will go up slightly as well (not as fast as restoration), but still, who wants to sit there for a day getting restoration up to 100...

i found another way of doing it. go to high hrothgar(spelling?) and go to the place where you first learn whirlwind sprint. Go up the stairs and there is this windy place that will damage you if you step in it. Just step into it and keep casting fast heal. You might want a high magicka regeneration so you can keep staying in it.

I got my shield to 100 in half an hour just by letting the enemy bash my shield. Its too easy to level up in this game and the enemies become too easy to kill. I'm level 52 Nord and i can take down giants and mamoths with no problem. They should have made several requirements for leveling up instead of just one and allow for enemy level ups when ever the enemy fights you or other enemies.

It works out of combat. I perform the coupled spells whilst walking to quest destinations or level restoration so it can replenish stamina, sprint and replenish to destinations.

I got 100 restoration by standing in the storm at the throat of the greybeards, by just healing a lot. Grand healing makes that even faster.

I now use mud-crawlers to get Blocking and Light-Armour to 100. But I think you could combine those three even...

Another way to do it: find a mudcrab, don't kill it - get hit over and over again, block when needed to reduce the damage, restore your health as much as possible. Great if you want a combination of Block/Armour skill/Restoration increases. I gained four levels on one mudcrab using this method, and it's amusing in its novel way. You might want at least level 20 with some focus on these skills before attempting this though.
