is it naive for Greewald to believe that Obama wants to genuinely change the system?
isnt he part of the system?
The biggest recipient, by far, of Big Pharma's 2008 election cycle contributions of $13.8 million was Obama, who received $1.2 million for his presidential campaign. And you wonder why there was no real reform to healthcare?
What a great conversation about deadly serious issues. "The political class cannot solve the problems it created." Too true. "Lip service will be paid to dissent until the streets fill with protesters." Great. Almost the best part of the program was that nobody tried to talk over the other person. Everyone waited, quietly listening until it was their turn to speak. Because of this, their words, in normal speaking voice, carried more weight.

Unabashed bias might feel like dignity to you, but only because your leftist religion is preached from a taxpayer funded pulpit. Dignity in jounalism is truth, and Moyers wouldn't air an honest analysis on his private soapbox for all the quiche in France.

Leftism is a religion. It requires more faith to believe that wealth redistribution, that fails every time it's tried, is a sound path and a just one, then to believe in a man in the sky...at least then you don't have proof that it's fraud.
Really? Have you ever traveled to any democracy in Western Europe? Ever been to Sweden, Norway, Denmark or Holland? How about France and Germany?? I see radical wealth redistribution there and nobody is screaming in the streets about how awful it is.... except perhaps the greediest of the greedy at the very top who have billions but would like billions more because I suppose they can take it all with them when they die..
Sweden-no, Holland-no--Britain and France-yes. What the people are screaming about there IS wealth redistribution, but they don't call it that, they call it 'the dip in social services', their work week is no longer able to be subsidized, their health care is rotting, simply bc of the 'distribution of wealth', when you steal the labor of the top earners, give it to gov't to waste, it doesn't end up in the coffers of the poor through wages or through new jobs. "billionaires'? try the mddle class.
I have friends and family in both France and England and I can assure you, while they talk about a dip in social services, they would NEVER trade their social services for the highly individualized society of America. Never. Please take my word for it. My best friend lives in London, works for Goldman Sachs as an analyst... she's smart, recently married and she cries a little when she sees the taxes she pays on her cheque but trust me, she too wouldn't trade her system for America.
They complain about the dip in social services, mostly because it gets undermined by people who take advantage of the generosity of the system and they resent those people. This is why the British National Party won two European Parliament seats, they tapped into the resentment. But even the BNP is not talking about doing away with those systems, they just want to take out those individuals who undermine that system. Thats the difference. Btw, the middle class benefits enormously from the system

You see rosen, his silly eye rolling, his fey demeanor--that's liberals for you. And bill Moyers has the GALL to consider himself a jounalist, he's a socialist hatchet man. I laugh everytime at his smug simplicity, a greaseball with a Cash-esque brogue.
No, wanting government control of production makes him a socialist, which is what he is, he'll use so-called inequalities to push for it, and you're the sucker who'll eagerly collaborate with the loss of freedom in this country.
PBS is independent. You should thank god for that. Only PBS covered the story of the TVA spilling a billion gallons of toxic sludge last year, go figure...
*****.......even the "NEW" members of the internet Press that road in to Town with O B One have joined the Washington crowd and are staying mum on the selection of his Pro Israel Picks.
As an example Not One of them have criticized Mitchel's failure to talk to Hamas on his "Fact Finding Visit", the second most important group that has to be included in any Peace talk concerning Gaza.....

PBS is pretty much the last place on TV where dignity still exists.
