I ran this cam because it had good street manners, no surging, stock converter, a lot of stop and go driving, easy on the valvetrain, and stock 4l60e transmissions do not want to be revved beyond 6000 rpm.

i'm guessing its a texas speed tr224 the title says tr 224 and i've priced out the cams on texas speed and they don't seem all too bad

No....not a texas speed.....TR stands thunder racing and some people say the TR220 is hands down the best 5.3 cam on the market

hey bro i agree with you about tht TR 220 but there are much better cams out on the market for the 5.3 it all depends what you want out of the truck, i personally like the 228R and the thumpr for the 5.3, its all about how much money your willing to spend. another not the TR 220 is not a big cam so its cant be hands down the best, the TR with the right tune and bolt on will only give u around 25-30 rwhp

like i said it all about prefrence, i personally like comps ls and high rise line of cams sound good and have great gains with the right tune
