Comon guys your not at BCOM ....if you are can someone tell you to lift your act a little please, i m a hack and i can do this drunk......ditto on the comment above.
Send the balcony director to my joint i can offer some DB improv that may be more interesting
They're obviously not trying to show off. They probably were asked on the spur of the moment to play some blues. The fact that they were together in tempo and dynamics speaks for itself. Also coldflowz = douchebag
.... guys, they were on a one-week course. I know this for a fact - I was there. They are not full time students (or were not at the time of making this at least)
I think people tend to forget that Berklee students are in Berklee to learn. If they were already amazing, they wouldn't need to be there. I'm in a conservatory of music myself and I'm not exactly a virtuoso. I don't expect to be one when I finish in 4 years, either. There are always a few truly gifted people who stand out, but mostly schools like Berklee contain young guys and girls with enough potential to get in, but still lots to learn.
@woutertron I forgot to add that it's important not to underestimate all the things Berklee (or other conservatory) students learn that don't necessarily cause them to play spectacular solos, like timing, theoretical insight, feel, etc.
Okay. These videos all have one good person... and that guitarist. I don't know who he is, or how long he's been at Berklee or anything... but he's not very good. All the other people that aren't in every video... they're good.
@coldflowz lool i doubt you can improv better they can. they made it into berklee school of music for a reason; and i doubt you can even comprehend as much chord theory as they can, you probly just stick to pentatonics and the blues scale. and at 1 year and 4 months, yeah you definately arent better than these guys. and the sharp 11 included in the blues scale doesnt count as real theory;; get good
@coldflowz I think you are on that stage of your life that you think you are great but as time goes by you humble yourself and admire great work, like the work this guy did on this video.
@reymysterioboogeyman i just don't understand why you ppl can't accept critics.... and i'm too busy for guitar right now, sorry (college is taking all my time)
Came here to confront the intimidating high level of thought jazz that is produced by the Berklee institute. Not so scared of the blues X]
