  • Amazing

  • liking the beat

  • thanks for posting this video. this is great defence. This gives me a lot of confidence as when it comes to defending smash I have always 50% chance.

  • haters gonna hate...why dont you guys who say he sucks post your own video. Until then, STFU!

  • machine only knows hitting the same kind of shot, you cant train you reaction using machine.

  • Pfouaaaaa

  • this guy aint good..surprised he even dare to put this video on youtube.. his backhand defence isnt a proper stroke, there is too much arm movement and its too stiff!

  • @TekkaiJon

Id like to see you or anyone do better when the birdies are literally right behind each other. How can you even do a full, proper stroke when theyre coming that fast?

  • Quality over Quantity anytime, this training is SHIT!

  • i think this is the ra centre in ottawa

  • Crazy~~~~LOL!!

  • the shuttle is not even hard. It is just training of the reflexes.

  • it would be more incredible if the direction of the shuttle is all over the court and not on one direction only

  • This is fucking retarded. They aren't even hard smashes and theyre all going to the same god damn spot. I'm surprised this video isn't more disliked than liked.

  • lets try alternating smashes on the left and right singles lines at the same speed :D

  • i like this training very much.... tkhs...

  • This isn't hard to do. All the shots were to his backhand and they were in the same spot. It would be harder if the shots switched sides or atleast attacked vital point where you can't defend like the arm pits or the chest and neck.

  • This isn't hard to so. All the shots were in the same spot and they were always to his backhand. It would be harder of the shots would change sides are target weaker points in the body such as arm pits, neck or chest

  • ("O)woah...

    looks fun

  • god that looks fun

  • 45 shuttlecocks

  • all same direction...sure easy...

if the shuttle is shooting from different angle with those speed,it will be tough..

  • Is this Jedi training?

  • nice defense but i have to ask you something...

    HOW DID YOU DID THAT?!!!

  • Omg that looks fun xD

  • this is nice :D

  • im guessing he's goalie. great returns.

  • im guessing he may be a goalie. great returns.

  • @Gills30

umm...there are no goalies in badminton. And if you mean hes a goalie as in soccer or hockey, then why is he playing badminton?

  • @danx192

Wow....really man? Good cause I sure thought goalie was a position in badminton...Go check out other videos and critique other people's comments for your own entertainment.

And I'm saying he must be a goalie in hockey because this drill helps with reflexes and you need good reflexes in order to be a good goalie. Fricken Troll.

  • Omg id love to try this!!!

  • It is good video because you can defend, but it is pointless because it puts the shuttle at the same place so you wouldnt be able to get better a defending because you need to be able to defend from different angles. Get someone to smash at you that will help you.

  • The shots are all to his backhand which is pretty easy + he doesnt even have to move his arms -.-

  • @LudicrousKill Easy to say behind a keyboard

  • @xSouIReaper

I'm already being humble by not saying that I can do better. Seriously just take a look closely its not that difficult.

  • @LudicrousKill at the speed of the shuttles coming at him, it's still pretty good for him to get a majority of what was fired at him. :)

  • makes a nice beat

  • elvis presley legs around 0:20

  • @yaoster4u XDDDDDD OMG XDDDDDDDDD

  • rent a court, buy 4 KT and set to all 4 corners...

    3 hours a day...

    not long after...

ur name will appear in bible...

    if i have enough money

id buy 4 KT, rent a court, and set them up to all 4 corners...

    ...only 3 hours a days

i will be so... heh heh heh

  • That looks hella fun!

  • i just tried one of these like 3 days ago, and its intense.. -_- i only got like nearly half the shots lol

  • lol you called the birds balls....

  • just use the speed of the shuttle :D

  • bloody hell that guy is quick

  • i wanan try

  • lol dayum

  • its not that hard. i play badminton myself and most of the smashs r on his racket and he only got to bring it in the right position

  • holy cow poop

  • WOW! holy...

  • my friend and i did this when we had a Badminton clinic with one of these machines. we weren't quite as good as this guy. but it was still a laugh and fun.:)

  • Reaction time .... -.-

  • its not so hard is it, and his forearm got tired at the end and his arm was used more and more

  • thats fuckin nuts! I want one of those machines!

  • WOW!

  • umm WOW :O really impressive

  • mark grenier has pretty sick defence

  • ggpwn

  • wow

  • What is the knight trainer? Is it just a machine that shoots out lots of shuttles?

  • Indeed =)

  • cool its mike bitten in the back round he works at RA centre

  • can the knight trainer shoot birds side to side?

  • too bad. knight trainer wins. man-0 kt01.

  • lol

  • wow lol that was insane O.O does anyone know how much the knight trainer cost??

  • well i could ask him if you want

  • go ask... and btw, whick black knight model is the best(power, offense, and defense) right now??? thanks!!!

  • Ok he told me that it was about 5000$ and it does everything, you just have to set it up and you're ready to go

  • Ha that was awesome!

  • hey guys u know wat this guy, this guy is my gym teacher so ha

  • dam dude super skills ud b super sick n the matrix smackin bulliets witha sward hahaa

  • dammnnnn nice!

you should take that out sometimes when we go next time M. ...that would be freaking awesome lol

  • oh finally i see somebody who trains like me

  • not bad... prety good. i would a knight trainer too!!!

  • Ja lepiej umiem bronić . Chłop nie obronił połowy lotek.

  • Nice but thism thing cant make u perfect lolx

  • The only problem here is that you have a good sense of where the shuttle will be landing. When the shuttles are fired from the trainer, it'll typically be shot where ever its directed...the only difference being the height at which to make contact. It's good for reaction, but its not like players will be hitting to just one particular area. Now if they can modify it to hit either forehand or backhand side without the need for someone to turn the machine then that would be great.

  • Nice ;o but i can do that too? or not, haha :b

  • Now imagine 2 trainers :D

  • good it can train ur backhand def

  • WOW nice!!!

  • ho great surprising !

  • friggin awesome

  • wow!great piece of technology. i really want one but no i hav nowhere near enough money!

  • My Uncle & Auntie are part owners of Blackknight and im proud to say that. about the trainer. it looks awesome, but pezai has a point. it doesnt help your motion very much. But i would still want one. a good way to spend your day(picking up smashes. 1 month of that and you'll be at the top of the skill ladder.

  • It's a "Knight Trainer", as it says in the title of the video. The Knight Trainer is a machine that automatically shoots out shuttles based on your preference. It can smash, drop and clear and drive.

  • lol tat is not a trainer

  • i think this is creative, but notice how he was using backhand grip the whole way, if the shots were to be mixed up to his more of his forehand side, he would have trouble changing grips, this machine will help your defence and reflexes, but it doesnt provide a full range of motion, which is unrealistic to the reality of defense in badminton

  • That is a very good point. Thanks.

The Knight Trainer will not automatically vary shots, other than the small range of variation that you see in the video. Someone standing at the machine can rotate the direction left and right at will, but when the shuttles are coming at about 2.5 per second, it is impossible for any player to react to a lot of variation in placement. Slower frequencies allow other types of defensive training to be carried out. The drill shown is purely about speed work.

  • O.O that's incredible! I'm starting to ask myself if it's just edited in the computer.. but come to think of it, it's not!

  • The Knight Trainer is manufactured in Montreal, Canada. Depending on the shipping costs to the country where it is being sold, and the duties and taxes, the price will range above CA$6,000. As far as being worth it, that depends on the player or coach and his/her goals and approach. It is too costly for many, but a great value for those centers that can afford it. It will make teaching and training more effective at all levels of badminton but will not replace good coaching and hard training.

  • @BKBADMINTON

    WOOT MONTREAL AWESOMENESS!!!

  • that is cool

  • anyone know how much the machine costs?

  • His legs, hahahah, but cool..

  • you need at least 3 of them for different angles... and propably one at the net at the same time ;D

  • this machine makes training fun for the kids!

  • im lovin it. hahha

  • hahaha thats fukin crazy i need that machine

  • so cool

  • nooo! that is wayyyy too sick!! i gotta get 1 of those =O

  • This guy's got a happy feet while defensing..lol

  • your supposed to do that

  • This is brilliant! Where do I buy one?

  • Who was at the other side? O.o

  • On the other side is the Black Knight "Knight Trainer" machine, set for smashes. At the end of the video the rate reaches 2.5 smashes per second. You can see the Knight Trainer itself in the net shot video (Robot rolls the shuttle)
