you have so much to learn.. for once, we are the gods... George Carlin was the god of his life, but you cannot see it that way in the open mind of the one vibrations that we all are.. you are already death because of your fear toward the same...thats why you need to belive in a paradise , fire and absurdities... fear is the main motivation of religion.

george carlin was not an atheist, why does everyone keep saying this or putting it in their vid descriptions? an atheist doesn't believe in anything. george carlin didn't believe in religion. he had beliefs but none that were documented or practiced religions, that is not an atheist.

George Carlin, as he has repeatedly stated is not an atheist, because atheism, like Christianity also makes a definitive statement. Also, if you have seen him off the stage (in an interview or something) , you would know he was not a bitter or angry man. His cranky and cynical persona onstage was all for the sake of entertainment and a way for all people to laugh at themselves along with him. However I commend you for saying that believers should not be rejoicing in his death.

Anyway: do not correlate George's "bitterness" with a lack of connection to what you call "God".
Most believers do not understand the position of the atheist; it's not a decision, not an inherent "lack", but an inevitable consequence of thinking for oneself.
In hunreds of years we'll look back at "God" as another imaginative fabrication, another warm and comfortable delusion, like all the others gods
