Thanks for this post. I've heard about the rare beauty of the late string quartets of Beethoven but it's hard to find them on youtube. This is the first piece I listen from those quartets and I already know that one day I will look back upon this day and realise the enormous beauty of my journey through this (for me) new music. Again, thanks!
That maestoso introduction has got to be one of the warmest things ever. The first time I heard this it took me till near the end of the piece to realize it was in 3/4
The Medici Quartet actually do a very good recording of this piece. This is one of my favourites too. The only dislike I have about this quartet is the fact that they rubato the hell out of it. It shouldn't be as much as they do. But then again, they are Italian.
Even though the twelfth is considered one of Beethoven's Late Quartets, it is so difficult to find a good recording, as it's less popular than the others. Thank you for this version.
Secondo me è l'esatto contrario: l'Amadeus è sullo stesso piano del Quartetto Italiano. Questa, così come tutte le esecuzioni del QI, è e sarà in eterno simbolo di perfezione assoluta. A mio modesto parere
Probably my favorite movement of the quartets. So alive!

Che suono! Il Quartetto italiano è sullo stesso piano dell'Amadeus. C'è un modo di affrontare la pagina, questa pagina che ha del miracoloso.
