  • Brilliant film - emotional and gripping!

  • if you didn't cry watching this film you're not a real man

  • one of the most amazing moving films ive ever seen acting was sublime by everyone all the way through the storyline was brilliant on a more light hearted note it's fucking weird thinking about anthony acting as jonny in rock n rolla nice wheels daddy haha what a fucking actor toby kebell is true genius

  • One of the best movies i have ever seen.

  • @Floppy2Blueray Watched this yesterday night for the first time and I completely agree with you.

Will watch it again tonight I think.

  • watching this scene after saw the ending makes it waaay more touching..brilliant movie !

  • Toby Kebbell looks the spitting image of Franco Di Santo ha, great film :)

  • This movie is one of the best I've ever seen.

It is very touching and I feel for both Richie and Anthony.

From the beginning of this clip until 1.19 is very touching.

  • Such a sad movie.

  • Anyone know what the song is ? it's been bugging me since i first saw it, any help would be greatly aprecciated

  • @rellybeats Afterlight - Clayhill

  • @Jammo91

Richard is hallucinating about Anthony, and he'd know where to go because it's where they grew up. His brother hanged himself because of what the gang did to him, and Richard felt terrible guilt for being ashamed of his brother.

  • It's weird how Toby Kebbell played Rob Gretton in Control and Paddy Considine played him in 24 Hour Party People and they're both here haha

  • Great acting from the disabled actor Toby Kebell. Tony's performance shows us that the disabled are valuable members of society and can perform many jobs as well as normal people.

He did such a good job of delivering the lines, though at times you could see the tremendous effort and strain in his facial expressions.

    Well done Mr. Tony.

  • @erroneousapostrophe Toby Kebell isn't disabled.

  • @kpotassium Ok, handicapped then. I know some don't like the word spastic or disabled

  • @erroneousapostrophe He isn't handicapped either.

  • @kpotassium OK mentally challenged or however you want to put it. I admire the man. He is an inspiration for mentally challenged people over the world. I wouldn't say he's one of the UK's finest actors as his range is limited. He seemed to struggle a little trying to remember lines.

  • @erroneousapostrophe No, he isn't mentally challenged. He played a disabled guy in one of his movies, in real life he's completely normal. Watch one of his other films, or look him up or something.

Robert De Niro isn't a gangster in real life, nor is Ewan Mcgregor a Jedi Knight, and Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't a mechanical cyborg sent here from the future by an evil computer. They are just actors, but fair play to 'em if they're that damn convincing.

  • @kpotassium Well said, however some actors are disabled in real life and are choosen for playing parts that involve a disabled character. I myself thought he was until I noticed he played a part in one of my all time favorite films "Control".

  • @kpotassium yep, he's just an awesome actor. He's called Toby Kebbell and played Johnny in Rocknrolla.

  • @chapmjx Sounds like you didn't read the whole conversation lol.

  • @kpotassium hell yeah, man this movie moved me, how realistic every single character was, simply incredible

  • @Maho2109 I think a lot of people are misreading my comment lol. Have a look at the original conversation I was in the middle of if you have the time.

  • @erroneousapostrophe Obvious troll is obvious.

  • @meu02136 "Obvious troll is obvious". Brilliant, utterly brilliant. I am humbled by your witty riposte . . .

  • can someone please tell me what happens towards the end of the film..iv seen it all but i couldnt work out that fact that anthony had hung himself even though he had been with his brother the whole time?????

and if he did hang himself back when they all took the piss out of him, how did anthony's brother know who they were to find and kill them?????

  • I think it's Shane meadows, it has the same kind of feel of urban decay with rainy weather and depressing music

  • Is this by the same director as this is England mi t

  • Absloute brilliant acting

  • Has no one noticed that the younger brother says "you didn't hold my hand did ya?" then Richard says "no"

Although it's a revenge movie and it shows the two brothers close relationship, the end scene makes this scene make sense because he wasn't nice to his brother either!

  • @mirwin931 yeah ive said that before as well mate...like he was embarresed or ashamed or something....

  • Yeah exactly, sure he slags him at the final scene about how he speaks. The movie is just genius! x

  • Anyone know of a website I can watch this on. I checked my video store but they don't seem to have it ?

  • Ah, now I have another film on my watch list... It's getting long, man, it's getting long.

  • it was set in matlock derbyshire dick heads

  • I live in Matlock-can see riber castle from my house-actually i ran past it today and if you look at 1.50 i also ran up that road up to Tansley. This film makes the town look terrible but it is actually considered very pleasant.

  • This is my favorite scene in one HELL of a movie.

  • insanely powerfull film to me ...the brother just makes me wanna cry.....and the vengence is unctrollable. my justice!!

  • They have an oddly touching relationship. Considering it's a film about pure revenge, there's a really sad sentiment buried within.

  • @SayAllHearNone It's not purely revenge, you have to remember why the revenge is being carried out.

  • Comment removed

  • this scene established there extremely strong budyness....... the vengence is set in place

  • cute eyelash

  • the little brother was already that.. he was an illusion the whole movie :(

  • this is one of the best scenes . outstanding performance from both of them

  • Would anyone know what developmental disability Anthony has? I was going to say Autism, but he has a grasp of slang and some social skill, and he's a little too off to just have Asperger's. It's hard to tell.

  • somehow this seems to mean the most imporatant part of movie........

  • i think the little brother absofuckinglutely fuels the audience and richard..,......i really love that little brother...............................dammit

  • this is what makes this film so good. Its so touching. Richard is really hurting. A beautiful scene which contrasts the violence and brutality. This is my favourite scene too.

  • Loved that scene first time around. The second time round, I nearly cried.

  • This part is what makes the flashbacks so sad to watch.

  • Kebbell

easily one of the best British actors around

his performance in 'the Street' was stunning

  • this is my favorite scene from the film.

  • amazing movie....so fucking refreshing to know theres still good movies being made....

  • just a perfect fucking movie

    'you , ya cunt !!!'

  • Toby Kebbell is really on it in this scene. Amazing portrayal of a bond between two brothers. For my money it's the best British film of the last 20 years.

  • Stunning and heartbreaking. British film

    making at it's best.

  • it was filmed in matlock.. derbyshire.. i live 10 minutes away from there

  • My fav film of all time and it amazes me how few people have seen it.

  • i was really sad at the end of this cant beleive he killed himself well i sort of can due to sircumstances amazing peace of art

  • toby kebbell is amazing...

  • I think this scene is about his guilt, he was prepared to let other younger children hold his hand, but not to associate with his disabled brother.

  • I hadn't thought about it like that (as I only watched it once), but I think you may be onto something there

  • whats the track at the last minute?

    anyone knows?

  • Clayhill - Afterlight

  • @minimegin also De Profundis by Arvo Pärt

  • I love that whistle too! Superb acting.

  • superb acting from toby kebbell. I love that whistle!

  • @choppertoneee funny as I was watching it I had to rewind and see the whistle I think its super attention to detail

  • One of my favorate scenes from the movie. Just shows the bond between the brothers.

  • @toddster87,yeah mine too,forever love this flim.Cheers

  • cant spell...Nottingham...

  • nottinghan

  • Anyone know where this is set?

  • It was set in the district of Derbyshire (Midlands), I think, but I don't know the name of the town.

  • I thought so... I think the place is called Matlock, i live right next 2 it and heard it was set there, jst wasn't sure if that was true or not.

  • @jhgf11 As far as i'm aware it was set in Matlock, Derbyshire

  • Shite, thanks for the spoiler guys.

  • lol

  • My favourite film. Amazing.

  • finally something small makes sense. i had no idea anthony was dead all along til the end but thinking about it, there is a giveaway in his dress sense. he is wearing poppers which were only really worn in the late 90's. around the time when he supposedly died

  • He wears the same clothes throughout the film as he has in the flashbacks.

  • Toby Kebbell plays a brilliant part in this movie, only realized he played Johnny in Rocknrolla.

  • knew tht already gasha ;) gr8 film

  • 'i like how the brother isn't actually there' haha nice spoiler there

  • nice one

  • great film! Another Meadows/Consandine triumph is a film called A room for Romeo Brass, also Last resort is good too!

  • I agree with you. In that movie the Consandine's character is even crazier, and he's damn good at playing it.

  • Yeh. Kind of sad when it shows the way he died.

  • I like the brother. He seems so happy yet vulnerable.

  • I like how his brother isn't really there. Good film. Someone should upload it.
