Yorkies can act like that. It is cofusing for them. He (or she) is bearing his teeth for a reason, and not because he's pleased! I have a Yorkie (my second one) and he can behave in much the same way if teased. Not a great thing to do. It's NOT a trick. The dog is being teased.

If you who post what he's doing is wrong, then you know absolutely NOTHING about yorkies. They are VERY loving and can learn just about any trick because of their addiction to treats.

Terrible way to treat your dog, and very bad behavior to praise. I wouldn't be suprised if this dog has trouble with trust (people, vet, groomer) or turns into a biter because of YOUR actions. Pet does not equal toy. It's not too late to talk to a dog trainer and learn the right and wrong way to treat a dog

Omg he/she's beautiful!! Yorkies are the best!! I have 2. What's his/her name? And for those who say that he's hurting this pooch trust me if you hurt a yorkie you'll know about it they usually scream the place down and shake! It may look like fun and games but I think this dog is just waiting for the day it can attack him. This is a silky terrier and not a Yorkie at all, the trick to tell if it is a yorkie or a silky terrier is in a flash photo a Yorkie will have the RED eye effect and a silky will have the GREEN eye effect.

as an experienced breeder/owner of toy breeds (including yorkies), i can tell you with 100% surety that your dog isn't a yorkie. it's a *silky* terrier...the breeds are so extremely similar looking, even vets get it wrong. silkies are a bit bigger, longer & lighter colored - exactly like your dog, which is adorable. :)

btw, i have a silky that's a bit smaller than yours, lol. she's going to be *16* yrs old this year! - but you'd never know it - people still think she's a puppy. :)

What kind of Yorkie is this? It's just like mine! Pale and with floppy ears. Mine's a rescue dog, but most Yorkie's are really small and dark tan colour. I would be really interested to know if it has a special name/breed type.
