wats one would b better for gamming? tytn 2 or touch pro? i heard ppl played war craft 2 on the tytn 2 lol. i want to b able to play nintendo agmes and on core doom 1 2 and final. wat phone would u remcommend?? plz write back every. thx u :).
lol ur funny, the touch pro is amazing, I have i for a few months and I have no performance problems,. It has tons of ram and tons of power. I don't know man, get it hecked or something.
Luckyly the "cons" against the HTC Touch Pro have been recognized by HTC and they brought out the HTC Touch Pro 2 yesterday - the first HTC Touch worth to buy!
As this one will be delivered here in Europe in a few weeks, I look forward to your first review in a few days?! I guess it should be out for sale at the US market a few months earlier than at the European market.
Haha - I *wish* I could review the HTC Touch Pro 2 in a few days, but that's not going to happen. There hasn't been any information I've read about availability yet.
is this considered a smartphone or pda or w.e cause verizon charges 30 dollars a month for data and u have to pay it but if its not a smartphone ur ok
Another good review. It's nice to see HTC listening to feedback. I see they've pretty much fixed what we all hate about the Diamond (MicroSD slot, flash, glossy back, etc.) Wish I had waited a bit longer now!
Hmm - I have a fair bit of light shining onto my shooting surface, though it is a bit hard to see details on a shiny black object because it reflects the light. It looks OK on my monitor here though - perhaps you need to adjust either the gamma setting on your computer, or adjust the brightness/contrast on your monitor?
I didn't shoot any photos, but when the full written review is done up I'm sure there will be sample photos. There are also other reviews published by other people, so if you look for it, you'll definitely find sample photos.
That baby looks sick, but what about the standard finger print problem on anything glossy? I have a Sony Ericson P1, and when I am not using the touch stick thing, the screen gets disgusting with fingerprints
wow, HTC makes some *really* nice-looking devices (I could put up with the added thickness for the full QWERTY functionality)... it's just a shame the price isn't about half that and that it isn't offered on Verizon or I might consider buying one. great overview as always, thanks Jason!

I don't do much gaming, so I'm not the right person to answer this question.

ThoughtsMedia 2 years ago
@theherofromdoom
Don't buy one of these phones if the main reason is "gaming", thats just wrong.
And also, the Raphael lacks in performance, so I would NOT recommend this phone for gaming, due to the poor performance.
I actually regret buying the Raphael.
Sad, but true.

Yes, a Google search for "HTC Touch Pro extended battery" will get you several options.

Yes, it's considered a smartphone and Verizon, like most carriers, will screw you over with higher data rates. It sucks, doesn't it?

Ok, First of; Good Review!
Second, in the full Review, could you show how to lock the device? (Keypad Lock it) (Like on for example Sony Ericsson K810i --> * and MENU)
Can you also just tell if there is the Transcriber option on the device?
Your sincerely
Tkima1
tkima1 3 years ago
You lock the phone by pressing and holding the red phone (hang-up button). And yes, it comes with Transcriber.

Yeah, on the front there's not really much you can do - fingerprints, face grease, etc. It's pretty common for any device with a touch screen.
