Fireline is a braided fishing line. So, no, it isn't like monofiliment. It's actually better, cause it won't stretch like mono tends to, and has zero memory (that's important for knotting.)
I buy mine at the local Bass Pro Shop, but they sell it at Walmart, and all sporting good stores. I use either "Crystal" or "Smoke" colored Fireline, 6 lb.
Gosh, I sure don't, sorry. I haven't done daisy chain in some years. That would make a great video, though. There are loads of free printed tutuorials for daisy stitch on the web.
Hi again i commented your other video but thank you You video was easy to under stand easy instructions and fast learning i wrote it all down on paper but :[ its almost bed time so i can't bead today :S BUT HECKA I WILL TOMMROW I'LL BE DREAMING ABOUT IT!!
@TnSquatch I buy it by weight strength, either 4, 6, or 8lb line. I'm looking at the 8lb label and it says 0 .18mm

:) You're welcome, honey. If you research the history of this technique, you might be surprized and delighted to discover it's origins.

I am interested in learning a simple variation on the daisy chain stitch - larger round beads surrounded by seed beads. Do you have a video for this?

How do you finish it?

However you like. This isn't meant to be a "finshed" project. It's meant to be a sampler, to help you understand how the stitch works.
I'm not interested in teaching finished projects, just techniques.

It seems fairly easy to me..I have made those little lizards with wire and it was easier than I thought it would be!
One thing..if you do another video...pull back a bit from the mike..it was a little hard to hear at times.
but, other than that..you were a great "instructor!!"
thank you!!
