i feel only that god is one ,we stupid people differentiate him by names (allah, vaheguru, jesus etc) . all hollybooks are the best becouse they all teach us how to live life in systemetic manner...................................if anybody hurt with my words then m very sory............i didn't want it
I love qwawali, i love sufi songs, i love hafiz and rumi! i love many things that come out of islamic tradition but I dislike this narrow minded, unquestioning, sheep like attitude of so many muslims and that goes same to all the so called religious people be they christians or hindu or by any other name! Allah made multitude of minds, why cant be respect each other individuality and uniqueness! God loves me the way i am equally as much as you and rest of people! otherwise we wouldnt be here!
fuk ur self, u think anyone cares about the condition of pakistan not even the pakis care thats why unjustice was done to nawaz and musharraf is still in power...
What I don't understand is that all the time i read the comments and then some one talks about music being haraam or not or makes an outrageous comment and it starts from there.
If you think something is going to cause controversy then dont post it, If you think that music is Haram then what on earth are you doing at this page?
I urge you guys to leave those kind of things at the forums, but over here please post on the video.
This is true that it is very nice...but nothing cant be better than Quran thats a complete Holy Book which gives you indications of past, present and future which no other thing/person cant even imagine to think
I dont agree with you bro! I dont think any one book can give whole indication of past, present and future! I think that is sheer ignorant arrogance! and all the religions be it hindu or christians say the same thing! Only human heart and mind have a potential to be holy but the books! Books are just collection of words! howsoever beautifully crafted word they be it cant be holy! and there is not one holy book! Holiness is not a monopoly of certain religion or nation or creed!
hm, thats a good question! : ) i dont really know how it started. but i guess its because i grew up with very good music. especially my mom and my uncles (brothers of my mom) influenced me in that way. and of course my curiousity for all things (music) that are (is) different and special! : ) i think i first heard nusrat when he was working with peter gabriel. i think it was on the passion soundtrack. ? or even earlier? ... : ) time : ) haha!
My husband was from Faisalabad. I never learned to speak Punjabi and I can understand little. I have listened to Nusrat for nearly twenty years and I have never found it necessary to understand the words. I understand the intent and the feeling.

(0)'I don't know which crime of desire you punish us, (9)Sometimes you'll turn a pebble into a diamond,
Other times you'll turn a diamond into dust, (17)The one who revived many dead,
You made him to adorn the crucifix, (24)The one that longed to have your sight on the Mount Sinai,
You reduced the Mount to ashes with the Lightning of your Manifestation, (31)You wished Abraham to be thrown into Nimrud's
Fire,
Then you turned that fire into flowers yourself'

(38) Sometimes you throw a Canaanite into the well of Canaanites,
(42) And then deprive Jacob of his sight,
(45) You make Joseph to be put into the slave-mart of Egypt, And then you also make the king of Egypt,
(52) when someone reaches to the destination of higher spirituality,
You make him to voice: I'm the Truth'

(59) Then allow the verdicts of infidelity against,
(1.02) 'Him you send yourself Mansoor to the crucifix
One day he too loses his life'
(1.11) 'You decide Whom You make to see Your sight'
(1.13) ' If Ranjha goes in Your quest,
You cause him grief in Jhang'
(1.20)'If some Majnun goes in Your quest
You make him a beloved of some Laila'
(1.27)If Your love awakens in Sassi's heart, You scorch her in a burning desert'
mindriot1 5 years ago
(1.33) 'If Sohni imagined you as her Mahinval,
You drowned her in raging currents'
(1.40) 'You can do entirely as you wish, you've absolute control over the Heavens'
(1.48) 'And in a single night you completed The Prophet (SAW)'s trip/ascension to Heaven'
(1.52) 'You are a puzzle'
the numbers in brackets indicate time, to fully appreciate the song i suggest you read the stories regarding Ranjha, Laila and Sassi
Peace.
