@MrTOBE209 No one cares, if your V6 was really that special you wouldn't be bragging about it on YouTube... you'd be out 'beating' LS1's. Good day. Hope you break 300ft/lbs of torque someday.
most of the z28 and ss camaros had the black side veiw mirrors some didn't because it was something chevy offered from the factor I had an 94 z28 that was green with matching side veiw mirror even though it was supposed to be black god i miss that car
yeah its a true SS... I bought the car new...have all the docementation to prove it like the guy said below...the 98/99 had the black mirrors.. I always find it funny when people make comments like this that dont know what the hell they are talking about...they actually take the time to make themselves look stupid.
not really man a friend of mines got a z28 99 but a ss hood and changed all the emblems a lot of people do it. and ususally you can't tell without the documentation. sweet ride though
Um..the 1998 and 1999 SS's had the BLACK MIRRORS and TBARS..so its not a Z28 with SS hood and spoiler to whoever thinks it is. It is a true SS...96 and 97 were same way with SS's...know your cars.. :)
The mirrors, and the roof color. TECHNICALLY, SS is just Z28 with the SLP package. The true, numbered Super Sports come with body color roof and mirrors. Actually, if this is factory, it's probably a bigger rarity than actual SS.
I had a red SS slp package and the mirrors were the color of the car but the roof was not,it had the Street legal performance sticker on the driverside door and all the suspension package as well as exterior, functional hood scoop and bigger rear spoiler, I thought the only SS with the painted roof were the 35th anniversary edition and the hardtop's if any.
You might be right about the roof, Ttops might come with a black roof, but to the best of my knowledge -at least as far back as 96, SS had body color roof and mirrors. Almost bought a 98 Z28 SLP, which had SS emblems, but said Z28 SLP on the papers. Like I said tho, to best of my knowledge. U might b right, could be a tru SS
you're totally wrong. Z28's and SS's had black roofs. ALL of them did, hardtops and T-tops. except the B4C police car package, that looked like a V6 camaro with the roof being the body color, but had the LS1. and all SS's were Z28's. SS was an option on top of it.
Black tops and mirrows were standard.Painted tops and mirrors to match the car were usually an addable option. Most dealerships usually had some color matched cars avalible.I have a 93 z28 and for that year no other color option than black was available.
And you're totally sure of yourself. You left our 35th LE, which came with body-colored roof, without exception. And I dare you to find me a factory SS with black mirrors.
nope, that was first gear..dumped the clutch and grabbed the break.... i was planning on letter her burn a little longer but there was a car coming from the opposite direction... oh well i should have made them wait :)
im buying a nice 1999 ls1 i think

Very nice, but it's not a true SS. It still has it's Z28 paint scheme. Still awesome tho. I have a Z28, I love it.
