I have ridden horses since I could crawl - ( literally I have pics ) and I only jump about 2'5 on my horses .. But I can jump higher !

JUST to prove my point - a rider could be level 3 dressage ( extremely hard to get to ) and only jump cross rails ! Gosh think before you type !!

you have been riding 4 and 5 years and you only jump 2 feet? wow. i jump 2 feet on my recovering from lameness 24 year old brood mare come on. but on my show horse jubilee i jump 3'9

shut up. i ride lesson horses. theyre owners dont allow them to jump much higher. I can jump that high, i leased a horse last year and did it a ton. Please dont leave a cmnt on something that was a year ago!

@webweb321 i have been riding since i could sit on a horse, and i only jump crossrails. Height doesn't determine how good of a rider you are. i have NEVER had a 'finished' horse or a lesson horse. Ive had the 19yo gelding that hasn't been ridden often, the pinto pony that will do ANYTHING to get you off her back, the appoloosa team roping horse that knows walk, trot, GO, or my beloved 5yo ottb that has raced, roped, barrel raced, and is now in-training to be a hunter-jumper.

@webweb321 I've been riding for 11 years, andI only jump 2'8". I'm just getting really involved in stadium jumping. I used to just ride for fun. I'm 14 and i've gone from less than 1 foot cross rails, to 2'8" height, 1' spreads in a little over 2 months. I only take lessons once a week, if I took 2, my trainer says I will be able to get higher really fast.

hehe. the grumpy one has like the exact same temper as my pony! its freaky. like you walk past him and he'll snarl, unless you have food, then he'll be your best friend. lol. i hav 4 horses, well, 2 horses, 2 ponies, but one pony is like only just a pony, almost a horse

Okay the paint with the bald face IS NOT ugly! He is beautiful! I am an owner of a bald face with 2 blue eyes and everyone says she is one of the prettiest horses they have ever seen! It is not 'western' coloring! Paints are preffered these days over 'plain' horses! So please do not think just because beautiful horse horses are western horses. My mare does english and western and is a champion in BOTH!

people are allowed to prefer certain colors or markings over others.
