Still, you musn't overlook the fact we are phonetically conditioned by the language we're more familiar with; the way two letters are pronounced together can easily differ from country to country, which would limit our capacity in matching words to their original pronunciation.

Mistakes can happen, in the same way your question -although not perfectly formulated- still managed to got across. It's the exact same thing with musicians... and everybody else.
