Suicidal Flowers - Crystal Chandelier [Providence, Rhode Island] - 1969 - "Is MORE Doors-esque then 'The Doors'. Beautifully druggy and dreamy." - Pebbles Vol. 3: The Acid Gallery-1992. NOTE: Somewhere in Rhode Island A. Micrarelli thought he was Jim Morrison.
Common misconception about this track is that the band came from Texas. Not sure how they got that info, but the band is a Rhode Island band. I know this because my brother was the lead guitarist.
@smedleylt I'm sorry for you. Back in 1998 when i bought my copy i will forever remember going back home in London and puttin it on, i was stunned of whats inside, tho i had already a few Pebbles volumes. Pebbles is the best cos it covers the full musical spectrum of 60es pop music and not just garage.
@smedleylt I had it. Green and Purple ( after one of the songs on it). Check out all my favorites on 2 of my channels. You'll see I've been hunting down loads of Rubble and Pebbles. You'll probably have found by now that 99% of the stuff you want is here on YT.
This was always one of my favorites from the original Pebbles series. Not only does the lead vocalist do a respectable impersonation of Jim Morrison, but the keyboard player, the guitarist and the drummer all seem to understand the gestalt of the Doors as well.
One of the best 60's garage classics!
