One of the coolest things I've done is get a Transcendant Sigil Stone with Detect Life, dupe it and enchant a full set of armor, rings, and amulet with Detect Life 180 each. I could see Everything. Forever (or at least to the edge of the loaded area.

You can also cross the Lava in the Realm of Oblivion if you drink four different really good Restore Health and Fortify Health Potions while you equip Water Walking. It takes you to randomly generated sand areas.

If it helps, you should save the Arena questline for Oghma's quest. Every "breed" of sentient person shows up at least once in the arena, so you don't have to search around. They're also not counted as murders (if you care about that sort of thing).

I found a few other things on my own. There is a cave whose deepest parts are filled with cairn bolete mushrooms that are bigger than large shields. Theres a ghost mudcrab somewhere in mancar camoran's paradise, too.
