@clousehands Their fur collects a lot of oil and moisture. The dust absorbs it and keeps their coats clean and healthy. If you bathed them in water, it would remove the good oils that protect their skin.

I work on a fur ranch where I found a fur-chewing reject and took her into the slaughter room. I cut a small incision into her belly and got an erection out of it, I was so high at the time so I said, what the heck. So I thrust myself into the incision and the chinchilla shrieked EEEK EEEEK EEEEK EEEEEK while it struggled until it finally died after I dumped my hot load into the incision. Amazing how so much blood and spooge came out of it. Then I made diarrhea and wiped my ass clean with it.
Also did you know I am utterly insane? After slaughtering this reject of quality fur I threw gasoline on it and set it ablaze, all while wearing an Iraqi soldier uniform and the American flag as a diaper.
