cazatron: I don't care if it was on the Gabriel & Dresden essential mix; that doesn't make it a remix. It's still a mash up and a not great one at that. While Gabriel & Dresden's older production work was spot on, their newer stuff, DJ work included, has been shoddy. This video is a testament to that. And lastly, things can't be "not spot on key wise." It either is or isn't in key. Learn something about music and don't blindly follow artists. "Gabriel & Dresden played it, it must be good!"

First of all G&D never called it a remix, it was well known as a mash up. It suffered a "Tiesto" as I like to call it, basically fans take it and incorrectly tag and by the time the world finds out it's to late to do any damage control.

You would think that between the two of them, one would have been listening to the song they mixed. The loops are totally out of keeping with the actual song. It's an amateur overlay with a drum kit basically because it never gels with the tune they're remixing. It's too intrusive to be a good counterpoint: the main melody is just trampled. It's no surprise some people have called this 'original' - it's almost unrecognisable, but I don't feel it works at all. Cheers for the upload though.
