  • The default setting of live view is off. You need to enable the function.

    Please

    1) hit 'MENU'

    2) hit left or right to change screen to 5th page/icon

    3) you can find 'Live View function settings', hit up/down to change high light to the item, and select it.

    4) to change the 'Live View shoot' to enable.

  • @deanpan2003 hi thank you deanpan for your advice. i followed exactly how you described yet still no joy. do you think maybe there is a problem with the camera?

  • yes!!! thank you so much ive been trying to do this for ages!

  • i've been using this camera about an year and 4 months and didnt know that it was able to do AF on live view...

    Thanks a lot

  • :D Brilliant

    thanks!

  • Strangely, even after setting either quick mode or live mode, it still doesn't autofocus for me. Is the shutter button still used for autofocus?

  • Using "*" button to autofocus. Please refer to my video.

  • I can't focus either. Logical if you think that the mirror is bouncing off to the AF sensors and for the liveview the mirror is turned up. I always refocus after turning the liveview off (of the tripod) and using the 2 seconds countdown to make the shot.

  • Yes you can. Quote from deanpan2003
