I admire the kentucky cheerleaders, but their routine here was not as good as the year before (their 2010 routine was SICK).What I didnt like about this routine was their Cheer portion,it didn't flow for some reason all they did was chant their cheer and there really wasnt that much action going on. During their 2010 routine, I LOVED how they did their synchronized standing back tucks in the beginning of their cheer, but they didn't do it this year!! Hopefully for the 2012 routine, they'll do it

Kentucky & Louisville are two different types of teams. Louisville is more on the allstar while Kentucky is more elite. UCA is more elite, while NCA is more allstar. That is why Louisville attends NCA nationals. Both are GREAT teams though.

Kentucky is an elite cheer team and one of the best ever, however the opening partner stunt sequence was shaky and the overall routine was lack luster. The routine looks the same each year. They are impressive athletes, but this routine just did not excite me. It was exciting to see Bama as such a fierce contender for the title this year and were able to pull off the victory, but it was far from a landslide victory.

i think both teams did a great job. but kentucky was just a lot better. more difficulty in their stunts and so much fun to watch. alabama was quite boring. i didn't see a lot of shakiness in either team. but i did see the man bomb his landing for uk. so maybe that was part of it. and the sign shaking was somewhat annoying. but i still felt it was a better routine. that's just me!

Difficulty, originality, and energy in execution, UK got it.... but with the bobbles, inconsistent spacing, tumbling issues, overall, Bama had the cleaner routine. Wasn't as exciting as UK's, but it was cleaner. Had UK stuck that one cupie, cleaned up the tumbling a little, and watched their spacing on some partner stunts, I'd say hands down, they should have won. You can't expect to win when you aren't clean. I hope to see them take 1st next year!

All the teams did a great job. Kentucky should of won. I am a judge and I am watching the same video even with the tumbling fall from kentucky they should of had a higher overall difficulty score. Thats my opinion I wasnt there. It should of been very close. In college nationals there is no room for mistakes.

If Kentucky hit this routine, no doubt they would have won and deserved to win. However, they had too many mistakes and Alabama hit a clean routine. It might have been easier but they hit everything and in the end DESERVED to win regardless of how difficult Kentucky's routine may be.

UK are like the New York Yankees of Div 1A. They suffer from nothing other than expectation fatigue. I used to do competitive Div 1A cheer 10 years ago and Kentucky was the powerhouse then, and they still are now. Sometimes judges get bored handing out the same trophy to the same team, even if they're almost flawless, however, mistakes from a team of this caliber REALLY stand out, even if it was just 1 (but they've had years where they took home the title with a few mistakes, just not 2011).

Hey UA Jake, i was there when it happened, so i know. I saw the score sheets.

Yes UK had a fall in tumbling. That's only 5% of the entire rotuine score.

UK had much more difficulty, UA had less difficulty. UA had lots of help on thier stunts.

Great routine, but UK did not execute their routine as well as UA. That's the bottom line, period. UK likes to push the envelope a bit and I admire that, but you have to execute. Bama has been pushing UK for years inching closer every year. This was the year they brought it and even though it was razor close, UA Cheerleaders hit their routine with precision accuracy. Kentucky did not.

A little inside info...

One judge marked a score of 46, then crossed it out and wrote 45.

Another judge complimented UK on a stunt...that wasn't even in their routine!

Finally, another judge said they shook their signs too much during the cheer.

UK deserved to win based on their difficulty, hands down.
