I just bought zagg invisible shield for my MacBook pro new model 2011!!! and I love the glossy look!!! I really recommend zagg for your MacBook!!! no more scratches!!!
I have experienced speck see thru cases( hard plastic). I have 2 of them and they break and dust gets under them and scratches your macbook pro even after cleaning them once a month. This invisible shield is one of the best protections you can get for your macbook pro, trust me!
@NewAppleNews Yes! I bought a white hard plastic Speck see thru case! After a little bit of taking the case on and off, I noticed that some of the clips broke!
I put seat covers on a new vehicle once. Many years later i had a used outer shell, 200k+ on engine & pretty seats. What's the point with the short life of a puter these days?? vain act, yea.
i think it looks sexy as hell ;) getting mine for $40 just got one for my iphone but thanks for posting, i was wondering how tricky it would be to apply
Hi Aaron! Did the bubbles in the bottom come out in the end? Do you experience heat issues after applying the InvisibleSHIELD? =) Just concerned about the MBP overheating.
whats up erick... I have a couple questions for you..
ok I have used zagg before on my iphone but just like mujipooh said it does attract dirt and it could still have minor scrathces. i just got a 17" MAC BOOK PRO for college and this things gets HOT so i was wonderin if u had any updates on the heat issue. and are u still using it?
I have the Zagg on three different products and now I'm debating whether or not I should get it on a unibody MBP. I love that it offers really good protection against scratches, but I hate how it accumulates grime, oils, and sometimes lint. This becomes a nuisance to clean. I also don't like that it's glossy (wish they had a matte option hmm) and they aren't exactly cut to cover the entire device like they advertise.
Aluminum is a very good heat conductor. !! all heat sinks in most electronics are made out of that. Covering that might be an issue. esp the bottom part close to the screen (the part that gets hot.) I wouldnt recommend putting that piece on. However the top (screen) part doesnt get hot at all and so no issues there.
In the quick install thing that comes with it, it shows you a pic of the wrist piece being applied, and the touchpad portion punched out. I'm pretty sure that you're supposed to punch it out. I think that the trackpad would become next to nonfunctional if you put that piece on it.
I just installed the zagg on my new aluminum macbook and I love it, I have it on my phone so I knew what to expect with the glossy "paint job look." the only bad thing I have to say about the shield is that it's very hard to install. Looks great once you get it on though..
Grats on finally getting ur invisible shield on and doing a wonderful review :) Sadly to say the bottom wont release the air bubbles :/...i mean they say for it to wait it out but honestly it wont come out unless u squeegee it out but its already dry so what ur gonna do is just ruin the whole thing if u DO do it...so just let it be and shouldnt be a big of a deal. you got 100% Cover :) Evreything should be fine. Wonderful Review once again. Great job.
I think it looks pretty good.

The track pad I got without the shield is pretty oily so I think I might add it anyhow, you guys have an experience on the feel of it?
jay733 2 years ago
Do you guys like the shield over the trackpad also or do you guys leave it without it?
