Since we're on the topic of Envy's death, let's remember that the homunculi all died in ironic ways. Envy committed suicide after feeling inferior to humans (lesser beings), Greed died having all his desires satisfied, Pride died after losing Kimbly's repsect (trying to take Ed's body), Gluttony got eaten, Sloth died when he fought for hours until he could no longer physically move, Wrath died in a battle to the death, and lust...well she did die kneeling before a man ;)

I cant feel any hatred for Envy at all.Think of it, he was born believing that humans were the inferior beings, like ants. The Ishvalan incident to him was just stepping on an anthill. His job was to fight them, and through that he constantly witnessed the beings he considered lowest to him get what he wanted most.

Envy. The physical manifestation of jealousy. He wanted what the humans had with his entire being.

When Envy dies, his death is pushed to such a torturous methood you can't help but feel sorry for him.

However, Envy really was that bad. He's a psychotic murderer who enjoys manipulating humans for his entertainment. I hate to be the one to say it, but its true.

But that was mostly Father's doing and he eventually got envious of humans and tried to conceal that fact as much as he could. When Ed found that out, he couldn't stand that his secret was out, so he killed himself before any human could, to lower his pride any more.

But yeah, you're right. Envy was horrible. 'specially in that one episode when Ed mentions Ishval and he gets a good laugh about it and makes this maniacal speech about loving every second of the extermination.

But he was born to be evil. Every part of his life, he was supposed to feel the way Father felt. Same for all the Homunculi. Wrath and Greed hated it, too. And Hoenheim mentioned Father being jealous of humans just like Envy.

You know, listening to this soundtrack and comparing it to the first Full Metal series is something wrong in a sense. I'm still watching FMAB, but I hear it has a lot more meaning and it follows the manga more closely. Listening to this song makes me think of how this soundtrack somewhat has more meaning since it's got an entire orchestra. Regardless, both soundtracks are good, but I have to give kudos to the orchestra.
