Crunch box for the win... Love it.. It has 2 gain stages. followed by clipping LEDs and a speaker cimulator circuit at the end. If you want a FAT sounding pedal with a lot of Harmonics. This is it!!..It can nail anything you trow at it....Finally something that sounds better than my Keeley DS1..and its not even modded yet...haha peace.

I imagine this would sound perfect with a darker-sounding Fender like my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (It's an older, US-made one from '97). I have an OCD Ver.4 right now and I tend to think the Crunch Box would suit me better. The OCD doesn't hold together that well IMO, plus I think it needs a brighter amp.

I have one of these babies. Had it for nearly 2 years and i'm just about to mess around with the internal presence control thingy to see what that sounds like.

Don't know if mine is the 2.0 or the first one but it's just like the one GMD kindly demoed for the youtube watching amigo's.

It's a great pedal, not getting rid of it. I use it on my clean channel for a gainy/heavier type of sound. Allthough my clean is set up to slightly break up if you hit it harder.

@sonicsmainman1 This has more gain and is voiced a little differently. It seems like this is a tad brighter than the OCD (I've not actually owned the Crunchbox, but will soon) with a little bit of a different low end, but are both undeniably British flavored. Honestly, I don't think you could wrong with either, but if you wanted a pedal for solely classic rock and blues I'd go OCD. If you wanted more gain at times or need a hi gain pedal, I would go Crunchbox.

I heard to say the Danelectro Cool Cat distortion is a clone of it. I tried it and I can tell it's not true ! But there are so many good ditortion pedals on the market you can't buy each one. I own Fulltone OCD 4 and fulldrive II mos fet plus a Barber Small Fry. I moded a little brit class A tube amp that now sounds like the Crunch Box. I think that's enough now...

One of my favorite pedals. I actually like it a bit more with the volume a touch higher than the gain. As I'm sure you noticed there's a TON of volume in this thing. Awesome pedal, awesome demo!
