FE1, FE2 and FE3 are related.

FE4 is related to FE5. FE5 takes place between the first and second part of FE4.

FE6 (the one with Roy, JPN only) is related to FE7 (FE7 is "Fire Emblem" in the US, the one with lyn). FE7 is a prequel to FE6

FE8 is alone...

FE9 is related to FE10, FE10 is a sequel to FE9.

BTW, FE3 is a remake of FE1, along with a new part/game/thing. Like 2 games in one I guess. You can look everything up on Wiki or some place. It's really interesting.

@Kiariy They made Fe7 because of their Biggest Mistake in Fe6. Roy was the weakest Lord but does Weild the Strongest Sword in the Series though huh only if Eliwood could've had that sword he would Rock but had to go with Durandal(Awsome Sword Though).

Th eonly thing you can actually see being different in this videos is animation... and the animation in old FEs is MUCH better than the GBA ones. Instead of characters using the same animation over and over jumping to attack the enemy then going back, they actually "fight" in older FEs

there are, as of now, 10 Fire Emblem games. the first six were not released outside of Japan, so, for the most part, the majority of the world only has 3 (soon to be 4) Fire Emblem games...of course I'm only talking about for the actual platforms...there are also translated (not translated as well) versions of the other six on emulators for computer...any way, if you don't understand now then you must be retarded =P

ok originally fe started in japan with the nes systems, the first six were all in japan only(there are hacks to get the 6 in english not sure how) now then there is the seventh with lyn an allm, then sacred stones, then path of radiance on gc, which is now nine, now there is a new one out on the wii called goddess of dawn which is the tenth and continues from the one on gamecube so if you haven't played the gamecube one u won't really know what everything was a bout and how it started

Hmm FE4 is one of the easiest (but it's a GREAT game) in the series and the graphics are great, much better than the GBA ones since they don't keep repeating the same slow animation over and over.

A real challenge would be FE5...

@GermanZ5 perhaps were looking through different lenses? im a perfectionist who avoids having units die. furthermore, i dont include those uber weapons in that statement. the uber divines make everything easy mode, if thats what you mean. FE4 in first time play throughs can easily catch people off guard with sudden unexpected reinforcements in unconvenient places, unlike the easy mode battle progression and reinforcements of modern FE games. then again, that was a VERY old comment lol

Very good, the mechanics of this game are much more complex than the other titles. It has two parts in the game, in the first part you get to pair up a female unit with a male unit. And if she lives until the end of part one while in love, you get to use her children in the second part, who will have items, gold, stat growths, and skills inherited from their parents.

Also, If you DON'T pair her or she gets KILLED before the end of the first half, you get stuck with sucky substitute characters in the second half. There are some great pairings and some bad ones, and they can only love 1 guy, so you gotta plan ahead. And that's just one great aspect of this game. =P
