If this is russian music why would you name it after Finnish tradition? Kalevala being the national epic of Finland and having nothing to do with slavic/russian heritage..

@mattoverho aren't finns of a slavic tradition too? finland was controlled and still neighbors russia. the ruthenians heavily mixed with viking traders from sweden and finland in the area of now belarus. there must be a lot of stuff shared between them all.
@healfdene666 Finns aren't even Indoeuropeans, they are Finno-Ugric! They aren't Slavs or Vikings! Finns are their own tribe, geneticly, culturally and their language has nothing to do with Russian or Swedish. They are related with Saami people and Estonians. Yes, Finland was under Russian rule but it did not have big cultural effects on the society as Finland was an autonomy.
@healfdene666 One more thing, when Finns started to sing those poems from Kalevala, Russians didn't even live where they live today, they were still in Eastern Europe. You know, they never had anything to do with that culture. So it's is not parts of Russian tradition, it's only Finnish/Karelian.
They are absolutely amazing. And theyre just getting started! One of the best new bands I have heard. Incredible folk melodies, incredible vocals, incredible everything. They released their first album only this year and first (and only) demo only last year. Yet they sound like theyve been doing this forever. Cant wait for more! - Brian in Houston Texas

Good singer, good all the musician, but absolutely GREAT ACCORDIONIST!!!! I think he's the best accoridonist in metal!
