  • this is "texas floods" but in a higher tonality right?

  • @digitalph5

"There's nothing you can do that can't be done.

Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.

Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game

    It's easy."

  • @jimothyshorts how does that answers my question?

  • When i first saw this man play I was blown away, it was a tiny little club and not a lot of people there. But when he came out and started you could feel the passion and joy he had, and it did not matter if there were 1000s or no one there he was just happy to be playing. Those with the most talent we seem to lose and those that suck stick around just ask any beiber fan.

  • Máke it scream

  • I heard of his death as a recent high school graduate driving to Cleveland making a steel delivery, sad sad day!

  • Over rated

  • @yellowintrel Fuck you. I'm named after this man.

  • @StevieRay8694 I didn't know Stevie's last name was 8694

  • MY DAUGHTER IS NAMED AFTER HIM

  • @yellowintrel your just jelouse , i cant play like stevie niether but i wouldn't ever say he's over rated, if anything hes under rated

also little wing on this cd blew me away...fantastic version if you haven't heard it god bless the man..major talenet..and helped me to see that sobriety ain't so boring after all!!

    peace

  • @MrJimmyoc00

Right on. I was there too. Heard it the next morning. Horrible!!! Saw SRV 6 times. One time he was very drunk and fucked up. When he sobered up. Just a mind blowing transformation! You could see it and hear it!!! Clapton too!!! He could have been dead a long time ago. But he is alive and still unbelievable! Today! All these years later.

Sobriety ain't so boring after all! You got that right when you know the other side.

  • @ke1mc2 AMEN brother....

  • @HolyCraq123456789 OK mate, I just get a bit tired of people slagging off other guitarists for what appears to be no reason, or it's out of context with the rest of the thread. SRV's is right on the money!!

  • 17 people cant see the sky

  • best bluest ever, he truely had a great bluesy voice and skill on the giutar

  • There are many disadvantages of being 113 these days....

For example, on the bus I'll be listening to my music, and someone would ask "What'cha you listening to?" and I would say who,

    Buck Cherry,

    Stevie Ray Vaughan,

    Lynard Skynard,

    John Cougar Mellencamp,

    etc..

and I get asked "Who's that?" every time. Doesn't fail me...

  • boo hoo :( QC

  • simply........................THE BEST !!!!!!!

  • I'm an older person. I saw it all, it gnaws at my heart today. I can't help but say, I watched Stevie, a child prodigy, crack the age ceiling in soul music. Stevie Ray was a child prodigy, he was filled with a rich vocal ability. It broke my heart when I heard that this young, instrument of soul, had been so rudely plucked from our existence. God have mercy, on anyone, who would try to stifle a gift like Stevie Ray Vaughan. Thank you God, for I heard him sing. stevieray dot info /smem

  • @12thsonofisrael Hahahaha, I thought you might be about 90 when I read your comment… Then I saw you’re only 54, aka younger than Stevie himself. So "child prodigy" sounds a little strange but I still like your comment

  • @12thsonofisrael ..i agree

  • Fuck helicopters.

  • @StevenVerd Steve don't be angry. Encourage those who would follow Stevie. That way, he stays alive in our hearts. ;-)

  • @12thsonofisrael Thanks for the sincere words. I will do my best.

  • ΤΕΡΑΣΤΙΟΣ....

  • bad ass

  • Can listen to Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughan all

day every day. Love his music. R.I.P. Sir.

  • sixteen people live under a bridge and charge to cross...

  • Sixteen dislikes? What, are these people stupid or something?

  • @darthvapor5170 i think so

  • Stevie we still enjoy your music after all these years. It will never get old. RIP

  • Thanks..Great artist and song!! No more to say let me listen....

  • That solo reaffirms that given a choice, I would rather be blind than deaf.

  • @Blusician1965 Yeah absolutely right on.

  • oh yeayyyyyy - thank you ...... xxxxxx

  • When I think of real, talented rock and roll artists, SRV is on the top of my list.

    M Lambert

  • the best version of this blues....big solo of stevie ray

  • OM NOM NOM NOM

  • SRV, YOU SURE KNOW HOW TO SNEAK & APPEAR JUST IN THE WRITE TIME IN MY LIFE. PLEASE STAY W/ ME. I NEED U MORE THAN EVER "NOW"......DO NOT WANT 2 GIVE UP IN BLACK JACK & CO. PLEASE BLESS NANA, NESSA & I ON OUR TRIP. U R MY, OUR BLESSING. WE DON'T PROVE

  • Any one no how i can get the black and white picture. Would love to frame it. I tried to go on images but too many to go though.

  • Anyone else feel like this is very similar to Red House in feel and structure??

  • @xMotorBreathx1993 They are both I-IV-V 12 bar blues - very standard form in blues

  • The Sky is Crying you. SRV.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN! ):

  • My friend 3 weeks before he passed away in a car accident told me to play this song at his funeral every time I hear it puts a smile on my face blues are about tragedy but still can make a person happy great song

  • trench...amen man...one of the best blues songs ever recorded!!!

  • SRV and Jimi H....None better.....!!!!...

  • Music today just ain't got no soul like this!! Bar none the greatest guitarist ever!!

  • Greatest guitar player ever. people think crappy screamo bands have the best guitarist but hears the difference between them Stevie had soul and can play his guitar while singing with his eyes closed. He played with feeling and couldn't do a solo twice cause he would improvise. The screamo shit, sure its fast but they have no soul no feeling and they always look down at there guitar. Sure anyone can pick up a guitar and play but it takes a pure genius to do what stevie did.

  • I really miss SRV and his music...Beers and da blues will take you to that good place in life...\m/

  • What a cruel twist of fate. The man had finally cleaned up, got it all on target, had all his ducks in a row......and then dies in a flight accident.

Somewhere Lady Luck was sleeping and her foil, Mistress Fate, was laughing a wicked laugh.

  • Listening to this, in the 90+ degree weather, outside, drinking a monster, hanging around with your boys and maybe even some chicks, makes you feel sooooooooo great.

  • @BFMValldayeveryday and Im 14 and I listen to this and Hendrix and Aerosmith, and of course, modern metalcore, and I hate that crappy pop and hip-hop music.

  • it is finally raining in texas after almost 6 months drought.

  • el paso?

  • @phoenixsonoma try over 4 years bud

  • thank you! :)

  • straight up .... the best human earth has producedd..

  • some of the best times was to this song man we miss you stevie rip brotha

  • Damn, listening to this you could hear how the music just flowed from SRV like turning on a water faucet....I think thats part of what seperates him from most other guitarists. Like all the great ones you know immediately who it is the moment he plays the first measure of the song.

  • Excellent quality

  • This is how you make love to your guitar!

  • weeeeeee weeeeeee-didoooodiiidooodididiiiiiidooooooo weeeeeeeeeee xD

  • I listened to this song on the way to the hospital the day be for my son died, it seems to forever be on my mind.

  • COME ON NOW...DON'T be hate'n on GWB...just because of a horrible accident!!

let's not EVEN go into politics!

    svr xoxox

  • perfect song for when the rain is pounding down outside.

  • the sky was crying when Stevie Ray Vaughan died

  • @drtydawg51 Yup and it was floodin down in Texas.

  • @drtydawg51 the sky, and we all... fucking god!!!

  • Greatest guitarist of all time! no one did it like him, every song was a 7 min solo basically. not many guitarists can do that!

  • @DeezyKeezy999 110% agree with ya

  • 21 years ago brother. I miss you!!!!!!

  • @trench0989 ... Were you drunk? or horny? or delusional? That is some strange ass shit! Weird ass thought! I'll quote your strange ass comment..."Albert King and Hendrix had a baby and they named him Stevie Ray Vaughn"...I'll try to read between the lines...Are you high? You must be high!

  • @trench0989 this isn't possibly jimi hendrix only had babies with women... and a LOT OF WOMEN !!! he was the dude

  • @DeezyKeezy999 ha ha gotta agree ! Stevie is great too ...Aussie :)

  • \m/\m/

  • OMG! yes yes yes yes yesssssssss

    ;-)

  • What a guitar God. This is what music is supposed to sound like.

  • @DeezyKeezy999 all night long :D

  • @DeezyKeezy999 i was thinking really good song to do a really good strip tease to it

  • this sounds like texas flood..?

  • @XAznSkaterX be thankful that you get to listen to 2 great songs instead of one, dont you wish these songs would never end? i do

  • He clearly pays homage to Elmore James with his cover and makes me proud to be Texan.

  • EASILY the best guitarist of my lifetime. This man had me convinced that he could lay the guitar on the opposite side of the stage and play it through telekinesis. It was like there was nothing he couldn't make a guitar do!....R.I.P SRV. You'll be frustrating the shit out of blues guitarists for generations to come.

  • @doug1119 Yup. He inspired many guitarists and made just as many quit

  • I´m so in love with this song...

  • frikkin' beautiful.....

  • On a rainy day my mom was like, "Hmmm look at that it's raining." Thus I replied, "No... the sky is crying!"

  • @JakeAndHisMusic 'The sky is crying.' I think SRV was posing a riddle to some very very very bad people in high places.

  • what pisses me off is that some douchebags decided just becasue they listen to lady gaga or justin gaylord bieber decided that their music was awesome and stevie's wasn't so they disliked this vid. I listen to death metal, and I actually love this. FUCK YOU POP MUSIC LOVERS.

  • He makes me cry with his guitar, he sings with his guitar:)

  • @TimlovePSV Amen!

  • The man was fantastic, and that voice.

  • I love you for this post! You made my weekend.

  • Been listening to Stevie Ray for over 3 decades. I knew he was timeless in 1974, good to know I'm not alone in that opinion. He is deep, he is truthful. Since he was a young child, all he wanted to do is express life through that guitar. He succeeded and we hear it, even now.

  • This song just brings me tears because it sounds so deep and truthful. R.I.P SRV, we miss you man.

  • This is the correct song to play in Norway after tis sad weecend:)

  • @DeezyKeezy999 I can't agree more, and I feel the same with Joe Satriani's S.M.F

  • @DeezyKeezy999 I was going to give you a thumbs up but then i realized you had exactly 69 thumbs up and I couldnt imagine anything more appropriate for your comment :-D

  • I wish Stevie was still alive i would have seen him perform live, i wasn't even alive when he passed :(

  • @whitestarrfan1995 Always good to see someone even younger than myself who's into the blues. We are the future of good music :-)

  • 15 people are on crack....

  • At least SRV doesn't have ALS.

  • Thank you!

  • was the best in the world

  • i love this voice

  • I listen to nothing but metal all the time (with the except of Johnny Cash), but god damn I love SRV!

  • @Th3RantDoctor Favorite bands: Counterparts, Hundredth, For Today, It Prevails, Stevie Ray Vaughn. He's just so good, reminds me of my dad back when I was like ten...im almost eighteen now, and i dont see him much anymore. And this could make me cry. The greatest that ever lived.

  • some r born w/silver spoons in theirs mouths. SRV was born w/a guitar in his. :) mere words can not describe his talent...his passion. ~RIP SRV~

  • Oh my, what a song to make love to!!

  • @MVT44 hey man....George Bush was all right., but Texas is the BEST state!!!
