The Rock Band Pro Guitar has strings instead of a freakin' strum bar and 5 colored buttons. Granted, it's more of a challenge, but it's a very welcoming challenge I suppose.

Then i started playing guitar hero and fell in love with it and have played enough that i can play on expert and its a piece of cake. Back in june i picked up the real guitar again and i am making serious progress, I agree they are both a ton of fun in there own ways and if you do both you will get better at eachother even faster.
