I remember watching this show live when I was a kid. The first run before reruns. As a child I saw that Sam had seveal opportunities to save Al from the horrible ife he knew during an after Vietnam. Now as an adult I unsand why history could never be changed for Al. If it was Sam and Al would have never met.

Althoug history was obviously changed in the final episode, meaning Al and Sam would never meet each other it would be nice to see a 2 hour movie. Assuming the project was a success Sam could now work fo the government and they could bring in Al as a governmnt oficial to keep an eye on Sam.

There are 5 seasons and the reason Al disappeared is he was convicted of murdering his bosses wife in the 1950s and executed so Sam never met him but Sam set everything right

Season 4 was definately the best of the lot, had the best storylines, tackled the more important issues and the Sam/Al relationship was at it's finest.
