IT doesn't sound Muslim. This song has a middle eastern sound, but don't confuse that with Islam. As for why it sounds middle eastern, it is a more authentic sound for the psalms. They do write other styles of songs, listen to other videos i have put up.
As for this being a dirge, that is what psalm 42 is about; this psalm is all about spiritual depression.
