@np1251 While performing as a youth, he realized that if he did not speak, people would harass him less and focus on the show itself. I imagine he continues this out of habit or tribute. He clearly has the ability to speak, but lacks the desire to do so at times.

This is the FIRST time I have ever heard Teller speak! I have been watching them on & off since the early 90's when they got started and I can honestly say I have NEVER heard Teller talk until now.

I knew he could talk but I never heard him until this moment! It was pretty cool actually.
