alot of people hate this game and despise it's soundtrack but when i got this game i played it to death and loved it, despite all its bugs and whatever, i also have to admit...the entire games soundtrack is a guilty pleasure, it is so cheesy but i ALWAYS sung along and still sing along with it when i race through the levels.

I would love a remake of this, SONIC R 2, on foot racing with all these themes and a few new ones, sonic is all about speed why is their not more ON FOOT sonic racing games?

Damn, I don't have this game for my Saturn but I love how the graphics flow seamlessly and also the music too. It kinda has that feel when you were a kid in your parents car, happy and carefree. Awesome video.

Is it just me, or is this some of the least appropriate music ever put into a video game? This doesn't belong in a Sonic game. It sounds like some cheaply licensed 1990s pop music that I'd hear at Whole Foods or in the elevator at an Aloft Hotel.

yeah but this was the 90s pop type music was very very popular back then think britney spears, backstreet boys, tlc, and alot others i simply can't remember... pop rap and rock was the main charts... now its a little different we have reggaeton rap hiphop RnB and some(rare) pop. of course the music will sound awckward to u if u werent alive in that era but it fits the time it came out in.

his running schematics make him look like he's barely even jogging, much less, running... and the victory finish demo makes him seem like he's jacking off more than celebrating... and knuckles is like walking in place wtf? other than that the graphix look pretty good for the age, the music is WOW... nobody puts this kind of soundtrack into games anymore rare.. sound trax are very important they help enhance the mood of the gameplay Devs seem to ignore that now and stick with ambient sounds sigh

@Sonicfan1211 you have to find the hidden chaos emeralds and finish first in every track. if you do, you will be able to play as Super Sonic.

@Sonicfan1211 you have to collect two emeralds per action stage/level. They are hiding in areas off the looped course. You sometimes need at least 50 rings so you can open gates that will lead you to the emeralds.

When you have them all, in the Character Selection screen, you can press UP on the rectangle surrounding Sonic's face, and you can choose Super Sonic. You can then choose Super Sonic in any level after selecting a level first.

this looks good for a Saturn game, the draw distance is really nice in it unlike a lot of saturn games that had some pretty terrible draw distances. Frame rate leaves a little to be desired, it lacks the speed of Sonic but it still looks pretty damn good for a Saturn game.
