As an enthuiast myself, I am glad to see someone promoting the art. There may not be much in the way of instruction on You-Tube but there is a lot of excellent SCD dancing to be seen. Search "Newcastle Scottish Dance Festival" to start . The social spirit of an ordinary social dance is shown by watch?v=ppgt94-IoaU which shows "Duke of Perth". As for comments on the video, surely you can find a) somewhere larger to film in, and b) a tripod. Does the cat dance too?
@TwosStepUp I agree that there is lots of great SCD performance and social dancing available for viewing on youtube. I have found and favorited several videos of myself dancing at a recent ball that can be seen on my youtube page. I agree these videos are amateur. I do teach in a studio regularly, but we are on summer break and these are by request. Thanks for the tripod suggestion, and yes, Coyote is an avid SCD-er.
