@fulltimeweirdos Yup, saw him at a rodeo in Cody Wyoming this summer. Pretty bad about him busting the left side of his ass with that fall off the bull. Damn, I knew boy was in deep shit when I saw him fly off. After the medical people determined that his ass was indeed broken and said there wasn't much to do for a broken ass so we scooped him up and fed him several beers. After that we drove up to Montana to try to figure out why Custer got his ass kicked and gamble in Indian casinos.
Why cant they finish that damn road? I've been traveling that road for 30 years and its always under construction somewhere. Do it right the first time so we can all travel on a decent road for a couple years before you go and try to "fix it"
Ahh yes .. I live 15 minutes east dickson city.. see'n all the assorted Penndot work signs along the road makes me jump for joy at the fun I will have tomorrow morning at 5 am... Gota love NEPA .. the season's go as followed. .fall, winter , spring and road construction... and fyi. the section he is drive'n though you can usually hall the mail.. cuz the popo's dont sit there much.. I go rollin through there in the rig 75 all the time..
I try to. Sometimes you just can't because of traffic and cops. Once you know a road, and have driven it many, many times, you know where to go fast, and where not to. I appreciate the comment by the way.
The video starts in Scranton and ends at the summit. Scranton is a great town though with very nice people. My father was severely injured (and eventually died) from and accident where the NE extension and 81 north meet and I spent a lot of time in Scranton way back in the day.
@vbdenny no the video starts in Dumore, and ends in Clarks Summit were you go threw Dickson city/Green Ridge .Scranton is far behind you, when you are going north on I-81
@morethanjake310 you are correct but I never intended to deceive. I know the area well as my dad was killed in an accident on 81 right where the NE Extension on ramp comes in. A southbound driver lost control and jumped the 25' high embamkment in the median and landed on the hood of his car. In this video I was kind of talking about the Scranton Metro area as a general description. I knew this ended at Clarls Summit but I didn't know about Dunmore.
hey! i just wanted to point out that for the majority of that video..you werent in scranton. i live in scranton, and though you were on 81, you were mostly driving through clarks summit.
or something. If I was a cop I wouldn't be playing country music OTJ, and I would be going a lot faster, Not sure what you meant by "pushing" but the beeping is my V-1 and the scanner is a CB. I use them to help maintain my perfect driving record.
nope. CB radios have been around since the late 1960's and are in about 99% of all big trucks on the road. Radar detectors are illegal in Virginia and Canada, but okay everywhere else. With the high cost of tickets and the even higher cost of what your insurance co. will do, it is well worth the precaution.
thanks Joel Luckily I don't do excessive speed. I try to keep it around 10 over, conditions permitting of course. I have been hit 4 times in my life by crummy drivers while I have never hit anyone.

Nice vid. i drive on that road everday. but its not in Scranton. Most of the Vid you were in Dickson City.
And i saw you said tough winters. i agree. its usually most weather is tough because its in the valley and rain and snow squalls hit very fast.

Guess it depends on the time of year. Pennsylvania goes have some of the worst roads in the country but I was refering to the landscape.

So are you a cop or something with all the beeping & scanners and pushing everyone out of the fast lane? ;)
