I think I said something somewhat similar thuogh not an exact quote.I have owned several cats over the years and know many friends with cats although the cat seems aggrevated there isn't any hissing so she's pretty tolerant with her family.

The same thing happened to me, with every pet I had as a kid. I feel for you. I loved any animal I saw back then, and now too. Our pets are such a source of joy to us, and in a very short while, you will be able to have one of your own. Sometimes you can outgrow an allergy just by having the cat around all the time, as long as the allergy isnt too severe. Good luck to you.
