Sort of nonsense every halfwit with a classical background and an electric mandolin messes around with (in the mid 80's in my case) .
If you consider Evan Marshall's William Tell solo musically accomplished, instead of just technically challenging but messy, then maybe this stuff also works for you.
I don't mean to troll, but is this ment to be a joke? I've never heard of this guitar player before now (only listning because of Mark Boals) but is this ment to be like Spinal Tap intentionally shit guitar playing?
Sorry if it sounds stupid, but this is a serious question.
It sounds so uninspired......he's a good player as like the rest of them but this tune isn't really memorable to me when I consider all the billions of things I've heard before....
It's funny how an average guitar playing asshole like Alex Gregory is pissing on Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteens grave. He couldn't out play them back in the 90's and he sure as hell can't out play them now with his dopey concept of Paganini. If anyone knows this asshole, tell him I want my $8.00 back for buying this disaster back in 92'
the guitarist and son of a fool is to tune the octaves of his guitar that are totally tune, his vibrato is also ridiculous the only thing that escapes is the taste for baroque music else is poor
This is not technically a guitar he's playing. The acoustic intro is played with his invention - the 8 string piano guitar, and the electric guitar parts with a 7 string mandolin. And if you uneducated, non-musical twit have ever seen such an instrument, let me tell you it's small enough to compare to your intellect.

It's a difficult song, but it sounds amazingly beautiful. There just aren't enough albums of this amazing quality. Not enough musicians of Maestro Gregory's caliber.
Now the rain has washed away the crowds Now the fireworks won't burn Dead the band that should have played so loud It was my turn To live this show Where did my day just go? I will not let you see me cry I'm too proud to to let go my dreams And this way fairy tales won't die And the witch soon will dry my tears.
Now those feelings seem so close to me Now it's you to cause my pain Yesterday ids just a past today There is no rain If you believe Your dreams will always live I will not let you see me cry I'm too proud to to let go my dreams And this way fairy tales won't die And the witch soon will dry my tears.
Who gave this HND diploma studding Ibanez ticking Wanker a record deal? is that singing? Was he recorded in a bathroom?? I feel for the poor bastard forced to mix this utter 7th rate Malmsteen parody. Maestro!! come come, who told him he could shroud him self with such an accolade. Beyond reproach. You Sir are an Arse.
Is he pissing on Stevie Ray Vaughan's grave screw this guy Stevie is the best guitar player ever period.

Mark Boal's voice is amazing and makes the song. The guitar pales to his voice.

On a separate note, I can find nothing on "Maestro" as an honorific bestowed by the British monarch or government.
No doubt this is my inept googling.
Anyone have references they can offer to clarify? Don't like not being able to find out about stuff.

yep, this guy kinda sucks, but mark boals on the other hand...

Good point Zodiac. Boals can belt it out. It's a shame he can't sing over Greggory's playing so we don't have to hear him play. LOL.

hope he got a nice paycheck out of it at least

Now the rain
has washed away the songs
Now the clowns have lost their smiles
Empty space the open stage's become
Such short a while
Has changed my world
My dreams have just been sold

Wow, why is he pissing on Vai and Yngwie's graves? >.>
ThrashMan91 2 years ago
Vai isn't dead. Either is Malmsteen
I think the one he's pissing on is supposed to be Stevie Ray Vaughan's grave. Which pisses me off.
I'm not sure who's grave the other one is.
Vaughan > Gregory
