The insult "green caterpillar with red stripes" originated from the Rev. W. Awdry, author of the Railway Series, who was angry at the illustrator's representation of Percy. Unfortunately the TV series modelmakers made the models, including Percy, rather inaccurately as well, causing them to be rather out of scale.

Are the faces easy to remove from from the mineral wagons? I hope more british stuff comes out will prefer it to german and american stuff. Personally I think the engine is slightly substandard and the track does not look as if it could last decades out side.

I have the proto-type, built 15 years ago. My grandpa has done almost all the G-gauge proto-types for bachmann

COUPLER ALERT

As shipped Thomas items WILL NOT couple with LGB or other cars, the couplers are 1/2" too high, there are SPACERS shown at 5:45 that must be attached to lower the coupler to LGB standard coupler height.
