    so long as it dose the job safely ...

    If it's too easy, add something to your workout that screws the kip - like adding a weight, swap it for an arms only rope climb.

    You could also make it harder by making it chest-to-bar as I often do or even muscle-up.

    I allways prefer to make my workouts task-related rather than strictly limited to a particular form - that's more realistic.

    If you jump you swing your arms, this is simply the reverse.

  • @MaxSafeheaD i agree. I just dont like to see certain people have horrible form and just use different muscles. I believe this guy can truly do it. It just looks like hes using different muscles.

  • Old Oly lifter and crossfitter here...the form on those cleans is atrocious. I won't take away though from his level of tenacity and fitness...the dude is an animal! However, if you're watching this, don't clean like that....this guy is going for time and competition. Not form. That said, he'd kick my ass in every WOD until he's 90 yrs old. Just sayin.

  • good point, hes on his toes rather than driving with his heals... but the thing is, to him, thats not a lot of weight. Definately know if he was doing his max, itd be better form

  • @jew4lyfe You're absolutely right, looks like 135lbs, that's chicken shit on that bar for guys like this. Bad habits form in training though, and if you're right that heavier bars require more technique. Form is still important when you're tired, which also makes form that much harder to achieve. Enough philosophy, the guy is a MF'in beast and I admire his level of fitness and just hard-core go-get-em. I just wonder how he'd fare with a room full of old school oly lifters.

  • @2ndAmendmentable/jew4lyfe @2ndAmendmentable The idea behind CrossFit is that it is not about "old school oly (?) lifters." It's been around for only about 10 yrs or so, but is growing fast globally. Why? Because it has proved itself effective. CF and lifters are totally distinct from one another. Yes Khalipa may not be able to lift like "old school lifters, but I can bet you money that old school lifters, can't do what Khalipa does. I've seen big lifters at my CF box fail miserably. Humbled.

  • @jew4lyfe this video was taken about 3yrs ago. I can see what you mean, the little tubby around the middle, and get your point about being the fittest in the world. Question. Have you seen the gut on old school lifters? Your talking two different animals here. Both get credit for what they do. Fat is stored differently in every human body. Khalipa looked good then, yet is better today. BTW, a WOD is Workout Of the Day, (ie) "Cindy" is considered a WOD.

  • @Luggerful dude there is no universally "most fit" body type. It just depends on what you are going to use your body type for. Like there are definitely people stronger than him, and there are people with more muscular endurance

  • and he definitely needs to catch his abodomen up with the rest of his body, he IS a bit tubby on the sides. not like most people, but compared to his arms. and his legs are pitiful by any standards. arms should never be bigger than legs

  • @flowlykliquid This must be old Khalipa.. cause he seems real out of shape in this video. I've seen him man handle 185 x 10 with no sweat at the lvl 1 cert. So I believe you could beat him.

  • khalipa is amazing. i think if he focused on jerking instead of pressing he would have had an even better time. it's just when you're that strong, it's probably hard to retrain your muscles not to grind through movements. either way, inspirational.

  • @happydancer2009 youll become an overall animal. Crossfit is about overall fitness not size in particular. Correct diet and nutrition will help with mass and the workouts will transform you into a lean BEAST!
