  • too bad jay leno lost that burnout competition

  • Was that Jay Leno in the red one?

    I wish I had a GN

  • hell yeah, bitch slap that viper. i miss those cars

  • Buick GN.....Driving mine is like jumping on the back of a Tornado after you hammer the gas pedal. Mine's not stock either though. Even in stock form they are a handful. The idiot that said a GN is not a muscle car because it is not a "large cube" engine has not been to the drag strip much and witnessed the street driven "big cubes" falling on their faces before the mighty GN!.......Dude .....get out of the house more often!

  • Ok........Hmmmm, not a muscle car. Obviously you no a lot about this subject. You keep telling yourself "it ain't no muscle car" as you watch my tail lights disappear into the distance!! Some people...lol.

  • these cars ain't the fastes "production car"

and more, but with a bigger turbo, slicks and some race gas your gonna go pretty damn fast

    The Heart Beat Stops Here!

  • Ok' if it's not a Muscle Car, then what is it ??? Just curious.

  • There's certain things a car has to do to be considered a production car, like be in production for a certain amount of years... and at the time, the Gn was the fastest that met those standards.

  • is this still the fastes production car or is it the ferrari enzo now?

  • I believe the Bugatti Veryon is now the fastest production car, though the Grand National is probably the fastest *affordable* production car. :)

  • I have 3 and they are pretty reliable for a 20+ year old car. Cheap to fix if needed.

  • I don't suppose you're thinking of selling one? Hehe. This is definitely my dream car, but unfortunately the chances of me finding/afoording one...slim to none.

  • Well, they are pretty cheap here in Hawaii, the demand is not too high cause everyone is more into the imports. I picked my 87 for 5K a couple years back and the KBB on it now is like 20K in fair condition( I would say it is a lil better than fair). Not a bad investment for me.

  • Man I Wish I Lived ther up her in Canada even a shitty GN goes foer 10000

  • can anyone provide some insight on the reliability of these cars?

  • I got three, pretty easy to upkeep.

  • i don't give a shit what anyone on here says, a gn is a muscle car. argue all you want, but unless you're packing something in the garage that can run at least low 12's, chances are a stock gn would make you it's bitch. McLarenMercedes : shutup, seriously. america didn't stop making muscle cars in the 60's. wake up. they also produced muscle cars that never had big blocks. anyone remember the turboZ or mustang svo?

  • i agree with you. you go man the grand national is one sick car.

  • I have only one thing to say. .. . . V6.

  • As a GN-owner I have a real problem finding anything with these cars that should not classify them as american muscle-cars. It's faster than my '69 GTX Hemi, and neither my former '71 Challenger, '73 Torino or '96 Corvette Gran Sport could outrun this one. It may be two cylinders less, but it has the sound and the feel - yep, it's muscle.

  • One of the greatest musclecars ever? Sorry but real musclecars don't use turbos.Musclecars are all about normally aspirated engines of huge displacement.Besided the 60's musclecars look awesome, this boxy 80's car was probably dull looking in the 80's.Only 6 cyl worth of owning?Ignorant fool...

  • McLarenMercedes, huh? since when in God's good name were McLaren and Mercedes American muscle? However, i agree with you, American muscle should be big cubes and a boat load of power, but GNX owners at least have the decency to not buy a little piece of Jap-crap and turn it into a ricer. furthermore, it's a buick with a turbo, and in the last case, twins that make over 1k of ponies.

  • American muscle should be big cubes and a boat load of power? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the GN would be classified as a big cube, and has a whole lotta power. I fail to see how it doesn't meet either of those standards.

  • Nice tribute to a truly awesome muscle car. Thanks for making and posting this!

  • i had a 86 monte carlo SS in high school, nice car, but deep down i always wanted a GN

  • A true muscle car of its kind. The V8 killer. A Classic!!!

  • finally a great video acompanied by a great song

  • The last of the american muscle and the fastest one..

    good vid

  • man my dad used to drive this car back in the day i want one so bad

  • god bless america the only country to make a 6cyl worth owning

  • I knew I made the right choice getting one

  • I think Chris Chow runs a TT SB Chevy...In the low 8's!!!

  • An incredible tribute! Thank you.

  • OMFG!!!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!

  • man I miss my GN, my plate was SLAYER

had Nitrous, it was sick back then
