oh yes, i had a brown one like this when i was like five. I still had it up until a couple of years ago but threw it out when i was clearing out. I wish i'de kept it now. It was better than some modern adult tape players i've had, in which i mean it never chewed a tape. If it had a headphone socket i could have transfered some of my tapes to CD! ..ohh well :(
Cool! I had this exact same model a bit earlier in time (1986-1989). Only thing is it wasn't nice and red - it was Light Brown with a dark brown door (like coondogtheman1234's model). Buttons also were dark brown. I remember the button markings were the exact same and they were nearly the same colors. Only other difference is I don't think or remember it had a battery led... nice to see it again after all these years! D'you also have the yellow (or is it, in your case) pre-recorded tape with it?
I've not heard this song before, and already I like it, sounds like Genesis to me, is it? I just wonder how many really small kids listened to tapes like that back then.
Nice recorder. I like the updates on it like the battery LED and then the only thing it needs now is a headphone jack. I had the older light brown version.
Old Man Eddie carried 2 or 3 of these babies every where he went and he left one on while he passed the day...when he got home he would listen in and hear what sounds he had found....he loved listening to movies that I bought and put on cassette tape for him...rather than watch a movie, he would listen to them on his Fisher Price...his favorite was the 1939 King Kong, a movie that meant a lot to him when he was a young boy.....
I have the red one also! I get it in the 1991. It was one of my favourite toys when I was a child. Does anyone have the yellow tape that was with the recorder? On the other side of the tape was some syntpop music... If you have, please upload the music from it! :)
