BAHAHAHA I can't believe people are arguing about whether rock/rap music can be considered christian. I listen to christian metal for crying out loud, this might as well be a hymn. Sing a new song to lord, if you like old school hymns, all power to you, that's your preference. If you listen to christian rap/rock/pop/metal/whatever just make sure what you are listening to is uplifting god, whether you are rapping or screaming praises to god you are still praising god. Deal with it.

@Sharkwater1995 Amen. David had no shortage of ways to praise the Lord--we don't either. I believe that the song of the righteous is a prayer to God--irrespective of genre, respective of content. (God wouldn't consider bad music a prayer, if you see what I mean, but THIS, CERTAINLY.)

@simhui89 umm, I am a Christian and I pretty much only listen to Christian music. Christian music is sacred music, even if the music are hymns. All of tobymac's songs are uplifting God. I don't like it when someone assumes I'm not a Christian because I listen to tobymac. Tobymac is a Christian artist, trust me, I know. I've seen him live at a Christian youth conference, and just because his music is upbeat and has rap and rock doesn't mean it's not Christian music. I met a man named burning bus

I'm a Christian and war has been made in my country between two races/religions. One says "Christians NOT meant to go carolling without permit/licence" and the other says "Spreading joy and love all around, not our thing and you want break the norm?".
