Do you draw the sketches yourself as well? or do you pick a picture and draw after it on an other layer to get your sketch? :)

Believe it or not this took under 2 hours if I recall. If there is not a complex background and one one subject, I never spend more than 2 hours painting.

the real hard thing about painting in photoshop is that you dont have super control over the angle and texture. when I paint in photoshop I use the techniques used by Liquid... I think this is a good show of talent.

When ever I first start a painting I think this is never going to look good. I keep working it, and building up, and it is not until half way through or so that I think, hey this might turn out to be a good painting yet.

oh that's so good to hear because almost all the time i start with that motivation and stopped half way...continue it later and then again...
but i still have a long way to go so i spend a ridiculous amount of time just to do the hair for example...
