I'm a dancer and passionate lover of ballet. Many things offend me, because I have such strong love for it. However, this ballet company doesn't. I find it interesting that they keep most of the original choreography, out of respect for the geniuses that choreographed them. They also dance WITH the music, so they respect the composers. I know how challenging this art is, so to see male dancers being able to do such steps...I find it fascinating and comical as well. I enjoy it.

Quit being angry and ignorant people haha. Hello, it's called CONTEMPORARY BALLET. I think it's an awesomely pioneering thing they're doing (the ballet company, Les Ballets Trockadero I believe?), venturing so far as to brilliantly spoof classical ballets without sacrificing the talent in their feet. Love it and love them! Hope to one day come see them!

This MAN is from the Trockadero group. An ALL MALE touring ballet company. They do PARODIES of many famous ballets. If you do not like them, simply don't watch. Don't sit here and complain over the internet on how this was a horrible rendition of Swan Lake. Go find something better to do.

The fact that a man can dance that great in pointe shoes is already awesome, this is a show not a serious ballet. While the variation in its original form is meant to tear at the emotions, the purpose of this version of the peice is satirical, as Animal Farm was a satire of the Russian Revolution. This is satire of classical ballet, and of the romantic movement of ballet. I can understand that you may be uncomfortable with that, but rather than merely being a joke, it is actually an analysis of Romantic ballet presented in a comedic fashion.

@Arthyem Actually, it's because it's comedic drag make up. Drag make up alone can be a frightful thing to see, but when a comedic spin is given you get this ridiculous look. Men can do good make up, and look good in it, just because one is a man does not mean they lack that ability.
