Funny thing...according to the VH1 special on Top Heavy Metal songs of all time, QR needed a song to finish the album. Record company told them to cover Slade's version of this. Kevin hated the idea and did a crappy job at it. Result? Shot them onto the US charts, US teens went "Whaaa?" and the rest is history. :)

This song has a crazy story. The band tried to make this song their worst ever. The singer and the drummer tried to sabotage the song so it would have never been published. They NEVER practiced the song, it was made by a pure inspiration and their singer tried to sing past the notes.

@MsBabster They did it "bad" on purpose, actually. They had finished the album, but their record company wanted them to cover a more well known song to try and help them get better known. Quiet Riot resented the idea of being forced to cover a song for their album when they thought it was perfect already, so they tried to do a really bad version of it. Turns out that a lot of people really loved it though, and it became their biggest hit.
