Wow, I can almost remember seeing this on TV when I was younger. I believe this was before either Edward Scissorhands or Batman Returns. I used to love TNT. They used to play so many classic movies. Tim Burton should have done the remake of House of Wax with Johnny Deep as Vincent Price's role. That would have been better than THAT remake with that one famous slut (although her death scene in that film was awesome lol).
Once upon a time TNT had great movie franchises and was about fun -- not anymore! :-) Since I was programming the network at the time, I can assure you that it's never easy to do fun fan things, but we managed to get a lot of them on the air!
We are doing a stop motion animation film called Tim. The movie is a stop motion animation film that is dedicated to Tim Burton and has Sir Christopher Lee as the narrator. Search the directors name Brian Joseph Ochab to find the video.
is he high? iv seen alot of pics and vids of him when he was younger ( like this) and he always looks HIGH! lol. but maybe thats because hes always tierd, because he doesnt sleep
San antonio has a really cool wax museum. I saw a sculpture of Jesus, Abe Lincoln, even Rocky Balboa. It was really scary, i just ran through the hall seeing these scary sculptures.
Ahh Tim Burton. I've already been obsessed with Johnny Depp for years, and Tim is a natural progression from Johnny, so I'm going through the overly obsessive watch every interview and learn pointless facts about him phase right now. It's unhealthy, but I love it
Haha. I've been absorbed into the whole Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, and Helena Bonham Carter trio. I think I've watched nearly 200 interviews between the three of them.
I used to work in a wax museum, the one in Buena Park. Closing the joint at night used to scare the be-geebers out of me. They are just creepy places, period.
it reminds me of charlie and the chocolate factory when the puppets are burning and their eye balls are falling out and everything. this must be his inspiration for that.
I think you're right. I mean, he has a... 'creepy potential'.. such a creative person would make a scary murderer!.. so let's be happy tim's such a cutie :)
The Vincent Price version is so much better than the 2005 version! Tim burton is the perfect man to host this. Especially becaus he's a big fan of vincent price. Anyone noticed the way the puppets melt in Charlie and the chocolate factory?

Is Tim Burton for real? what an idiot, if you like wax figures melting this is the film for you. How about if you like scissors is Edward scissorhands for you too?
i think its really good aswell.. i havent seen the original either so i dont have anything to compare it with.
i just noticed that your comment had been rated so poorly.. i think its good. But I dont believe its anything like Tim Burton would have made it.. but its still a good horrormovie :P
Hello Everyone! I'm 36 and have been doing FX since I was just 9 years old because of the 1970's re-release in 3-D. Paris Hilton/Joel Silvers version is terrible (cool fx) and is a slap in the face to Andre DeToth and Price! Nothing like Original! Hollywood has become lazy and Paris is one of the worst actresses I've ever seen! She is Famous for being Famous! What a joke! That's Hollywood! David Michael Waszak - Producer/FX Artist
yhea, remakes suck. the fact they are remaking every good horror film from the past 100 years makes me want to go into universal and kill massive amount of people....but i wont do that, im a pacifist.
That's not entirely fair to Paris Hilton. She's not just famous for being famous. She's also famous for being stinking rich, breathtakingly dumb, and a slut!
@godzilla964 It means she’s a celebrity with no particular skill, talent, or reason to be notable. Or why don’t you ask "nfxdetroitdotcom ." whose post I was replying to?
Do you know anything called THE FLYING SAUCER AND ME, written and directed by Tim Burton and Leonard Ripps? I've found in e-mule and I uploaded it in my YOUTUBE PAGE. You must see it. IT´S AMAZING.
My gawd please stop making remakes from brilliant movies. Surely if the movie people have to do remakes they should do them from movies that didn't so so well to see if modernisation really does work? House of Wax did NOT need a remake! They modernised it far too much...plus, No Vincent.

Back when TNT had watchable programming. I miss the days when I'd hear that voice doing their promos and bumpers.

tim was a hardcore fan of Price when he was younger and as a homage he casted Price in Edward Scissorhands as "the creator"

Well this explains the melting puppets in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. ^ ^

@DemonaKittren I'm surprised nobody got that reference. also the melting puppets reminded me of the end of Child's play 2 i think it was.

Bravo, haha! Can't think of a better host...
If Vincent Price could only see what a mockery horror films have become. I'm still waiting for a savior.
Going to the nearest Wax Museum is unsettling and expensive, and yet for some odd reason I keep going back XD Hmm...

Beautiful! You can tell he grew up a fan of Vincent Price just by listening to his voice.
And hey! His hair's a lot like Sweeney's! lol ^_^ or even Edward's.

yeah that was the worst horror remake I never saw. It was a mockery to Vincent Price's performance in the original.

I agree with you... except that Vincent Price's version was ALSO a remake.... of a thirties film, called "Mystery of the Wax Museum".
dontbecruel24 4 years ago 3
good point, but at least Price's version was still awesome. the new house of wax was just pure shit..and they could've made it really cool.
