  • Takes me waay back to the Beverly Cavern in LA; me, my fake ID, my girl and hers and my good friends with theirs watching and listening to these crazy genius's do their magic. The place would go nuts when they let go with that siren!! What fun times! Thanks guys wherever you are.

  • This was the Disney house band. They actually were offered a touring contract, but they would have had to leave Disney (two of these men, Frank Thomas (piano) and Ward Kimball (trombone) were supervising animators there and the others worked in other departments.) They chose to keep their Disney careers.

Sadly, late in their careers, the Disney management forced them to stop playing at the Studio...people were actually coming to hear them when they should have been working (on lunch hour?)

  • This was when America was at its best--none of the bitter cynicysm that passes for entertainment today. Those people in the audience didn't realize how lucky they were.

  • Thank you SO much for adding this video again, I was really bummed when it was gone. What is the name of the movie this is in?

  • I saw this movie a few months ago. They were a great band!

  • Nice to see Les Dennis in the crowd there taking in the jazz

  • Les Dennis? Is that another name for Van Johnson? That's him there with Kathryn Grayson.

  • Yep sitting there wearing his Firehouse Five hat backwards.
