@bud389 The main villains are all human is what I meant. Except for a boss battle or two which are mind numbingly boring, the dinosaurs seem tacked on. They weren't the focus of the game and seemd kinda out of place if I'm honest. When I'm spending most of the game mowing down gas-masked black-armoured military guys, I find it hard to call Turok "a dinosaur game."

Apparently you haven't, because even though the actual plot centers around Roland Kane, the dinosaurs were what kept reviewers from giving Turok a lower score because of how "realistic" the animations and movement of them were. And i think that the REAL main villian for the game was old "one eye", the LAST boss of the game which is also a recurring dinosaur throughout and killed several characters. Not to mention you fight hordes of dino's.
