Here's MY story: When I saw the death scene, I was upset, but that's it. Even through Voldemort getting the Elder wand, I was okay. Then, the credits started rolling, the lights came on, everyone was getting ready to leave, and I burst into hysterical tears. My youth group practically had to carry me out of there. I didn't stop crying for at LEAST an hour. It was horrible. And even now, almost half a year later, I still get weepy eyed over Dobby. ((R.I.P. Dobby, A Free Elf))

And honestly, the death made the series VERY spectacular. What's a war without any deaths, yanno? && I won't give anything away, but in this last film, it should show the true importance of Dobby's death. It's a real plot-changer, if you've read the books && know what happens next.

@darkitten1 No, not everyone dies. There are a TON of characters who survive; it could have been a lot worse. I thought either Ron or Hermione would die, but luckily they didn't. And Dobby died for multiple reasons, but while dealing with Dobby's death by digging the grave, Harry chooses his path (Horcruxes instead of Hallows). This wins the war, && without Dobby's death making Harry think about his decision (because Harry DOES act on impulse a lot), Harry probably would've chosen Hallows.
