Hi, sorry this is so late, we just randomly checked this to put into a blog entry and found your comment! We dont get the comments as they go to Journizer rather than us!
My (Sherrie) BMW is 2001 and Patricks is from 2000. I highly recommend the bikes, though Patrick would much rather ride the F 800.
The gearbox broke on his old BMW R100 GS , which is a well known problem with that bike, the gearbox bearing has problems. I have had no problems with F 650, I love my bike. :-)

"We want to see it for ourselves..." Exactly. If everyone were as openminded as you guys the world would be a better place. BTW, what year are those F650s? Do you like them? You mention a gearbox breakdown in south america in another episode...I'm thinking about getting one in the future for some touring.
