  • Is old man Norris still alive I lived in mesquite just off Kearney and used to hang out at his shop. man I remember he had these jam sessions and I would sneak in the store and listen, Those old dudes turned me on to Country music. I was probably the only Black kid in Mesquite then!!

  • Both of these pickers are superb. I met Gary when he was picking with Ray Price one time. A very nice guy and easy down to earth guy. So sad he passed away at a young age...Junior is still picking in TX area I am told....Great video....R.I.P. Gary Hogue
